Brock Lesnar Withdraws From UFC 106 Due To Illness

Las Vegas, NV (AHN) – UFC Heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar has defeated almost every foe that has stood in his way, but one that won’t tap out is the flu, causing him to back out of UFC 106 next month.
Currently going on 25 days of sickness, Lesnar has been unable to effectively train for his new rival, Shane Carwin. Carwin’s title shot has been postponed to January 2, 2010.
UFC President Dana White said that Lesnar has never been this sick, and that he has been unable to shake it off.
His training partner, Chris Tuchsherer, worked with him on Monday – and Lesnar reportedly fatigued immediately, and wasn’t able to concentrate on his conditioning.
That previous weekend, he felt ready and able to go.
As for UFC 106, it’s likely that the light-heavyweight battle between Forrest Griffin and Tito Ortiz will take front and center on the main card.
