Image Of Tom Hardy In ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ Surfaces On Twitter

Mad Max Fury Road

An image of what appears to Tom Hardy as Mad Max in the upcoming action flick Fury Road has appeared on Twitter, according to Collider.

The Dark Knight Rises star recently wrapped production on the forthcoming film, which may or may not be a sequel to the film starring Mel Gibson. Even with original director George Miller’s involvement in the production, it’s currently unclear where the story is headed.

A recent picture of what appears to be Tom Hardy dressed as the hero from Mad Max: Fury Road was recently uploaded to Twitter. The photo even comes complete with an autograph. At the time it arrived online, no one attached to the aforementioned motion picture has confirmed if it was the real deal.

However, The Playlist has confirmed the image does feature Hardy as Mad Max. The photograph, which was handed out to Fury Road crew members, was signed by the man himself.

The latest Mad Max could be the next installment in director George Miller’s post-apocalyptic action flick. The character was originally made famous by Mel Gibson.

Miller has described the upcoming feature as follows:

“Mad Max is caught up with a group of people fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by the Imperator Furiosa. This movie is an account of the Road War which follows. It is based on the ‘Word Burgers of the History Men’ and eyewitness accounts of those who survived.”

In addition to Tom Hardy, Mad Max: Fury Road also stars Charlize Theron, who sported an incredibly short haircut for the upcoming actioner. Nicholas Hoult, Zoe Kravitz, Riley Keough, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Hugh Keays-Byrne, and Nathan Jones will co-star.

Yeah I think Tom Hardy will make a good Mad Max, but to tell the truth I am more worried about the story it self being bad, even with the creator of the original movies being involved its no proof that it will be good, I got a feeling this one will be more Hollywoodized!

Quite looking forward to the next MM — can't comment on Tom Hardy as Max – I thought his portryal of Bane in TDNR was less than engaging, but that was the fault of a lacking script, not the actor's ability, so in that respect I'm looking forward to see what Mr. Hardy does when he has a strong story to work with (which it seems to be, from reading the snyopsis).
