An Iowa Powerball Winning couple has decided to help fund their son’s high school football stadium, says MSN.com.

There is one catch… the visitors’ locker room has to be painted pink.

Of the $202 million Brian and Mary Lohse won, they are giving three million to the school.

The Bondurant-Farrar school district accepted the gift on Monday that the Des Moines couple states must be completed before the 2014 football season.

Mary Lohse said:

“I was sort of half joking and half not, I suppose, but they said they’d do it.”

“It’s supposed to put them in a certain soft frame of mind. It will certainly give all the players something to talk about.”

The completion date coincides with Lohses’ oldest son, a sophomore member of the football team, the Blue Jays, graduating in spring 2015. The pink locker room was Mary Lohse’s sense of humor kicking in with an undying love of the Hawkeyes.
Brian Lohse commented:

“The school has been kind of a bedrock for our community and we appreciate all that it’s meant to our kids. We’d like to look out for the school a little bit and hasten a project that’s already on the horizon.”

The Lohses also requested that the stadium not be named after them; that the community, local residents, and groups will make other contributions, claims the Des Moines Register.

School board President Kristin Swift said:

“It not only gives us the opportunity to accelerate the stadium project, but to advance other plans for projects within the district as well.”

Planning has already begun for the stadium. Local architects SVPA are handling the design process. The stadium is said to include an academic wing and a fine arts auditorium.

The three million for the stadium is to be released in three one million dollar increments on March 1st, January 15th, 2014 and January 15th, 2015, according to the agreement.
