Warning: That next sneeze might kill you

Okay, maybe that’s a slight exaggeration but in the case of John Oram a South Devon Englishman that is exactly what happened.

Apparently the 79-year-old man was seen sneezing violently two days prior to his death. Mr. Oram had been diagnosed in the past with diabetes and also suffered from a heart condition for which he had been subscribed a blood thiner called Warfarin.

Ian Arrow the coroner for Torbay and South Devon said that the official cause of death was a subdural hematoma and coronary artery disease. Arrow said at the inquest

“He would have suffered a minor trauma and on the balance of probability it was likely it was the sneeze which led to his death.”
