The man who made Hollywood clutch their phones has been sentenced to 10 years in jail. According to TMZ the man has been identified as 36-year-old Florida resident Christopher Chaney, who pled guilty to the felony on nine counts way back in March when the case initially started.

The nine counts included, identity theft, wiretapping, and unauthorized access, in addition to damage to a protected computer. This was all after the fact that Chaney hacked celebrity email addresses, as well as dozen of civilians addresses.

While hacking, Chaney leaked nude photos of Scarlett Johansson. Chaney has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after hacking accounts, including Mila Kunis’ old email address which revealed photos of the actress in a bathtub and a picture of Friends With Benefits costar Justin Timberlake with panties on his head.

Ars technica reported in March how Chaney hacked the celebrities accounts:

“After connecting to Apple’s e-mail servers, Chaney used the password reset feature. He answered the required security questions by supplying publicly available information gleaned from the Internet—and he was in.”

When Chaney was finally caught, he released a statement to the press in the form of an apology:

“I deeply apologize. I know what I did was probably one of the worst invasions of privacy someone could experience. And these people don’t have privacy to begin with. And I was in that little sliver of privacy they do have.”

At the time Chaney was arrested, he was ordered to pay $76,000 to Johansson, Christina Aguilera, and Renee Olstead. Originally Christopher Chaney was facing 121 years if convicted on all counts.
