Brooke Shields Sits On Santa’s Lap During New York Hospital Charity Event

Brooke Shields isn’t too old to believe in Santa if the recent photos of her sitting on Saint Nick’s lap during a New York hospital charity event are anything to go by.

The 47-year-old was recently spotted sitting on Santa’s lap while she hosted the Brooks Brothers’ 7th annual Holiday Celebration, reports The Christian Post.

The party was held to benefit the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Shields was dressed for the event in a dark patterned suit. One shot shows just her with Saint Nick, while another shows her daughters Rowan and Grier on Santa’s lap as well.

Brooke Shields has had a difficult year. Her mother and former manager, Teri, passed away in November at age 79, notes The Daily Mail. The actress released a statement following her mother’s death, saying:

“My mother was an enormous part of my life and of who I am today. I loved her, laughed with her, and respected her. And although she had her share of struggles, she was my mom.”

Shields was praised by fans for appearing at the charity event benefiting the Memphis-based hospital, despite the fact that she has been dealing with the difficulty of losing her mother. One fan wrote, “Strong, brave, king-hearted woman.” Another added of Brooke and her children with Santa:

“They’re so cute! I don’t think they look all that much like her now [maybe the coloring is throwing me off], but they may grow into favoring her more later … She looks excellent, too! It’s nice to see families having fun together.”
