Kat Von D And Deadmau5 Engaged: Proposal Made On Twitter
Kat Von D and Deadmau5 are getting hitched. Oddly enough, the future groom’s proposal to his lady was made with a sweet tweet.
The Mirror reports that Joel Zimmerman, better known as Deadmau5, sent a tweet to Von D today asking the tattoo artist to marry him. The controversial dance DJ also made sure to send along a picture of the diamond engagement ring. He even used the 30-year-old tattooist’s full, given name.
Deadmau5 took to Twitter in the early morning hours with this message:
“I can’t wait for Christmas so…. Katherine Von Drachenberg, will you marry me?”
According to The Hollywood Gossip, he followed his first tweet with a second one that said:
“Changing the diamond to a black diamond FYI. Sorry for the jpg… they’ll finish the actual ring soon I hope. I love u :D”
Reality TV star and ink-giver Von D quickly accepted with a tweet of her own:
“Mi corazon!!! Thank you all for the lovely congratulations! Please excuse me while I go squeeze the hell out of my fiancé!”
E! Online reports that the newly engaged couple, who met at a party, started their relationship in September of this year. During a brief breakup in November the couple used Twitter to vent their troubles.
While this will be the first trip to the alter for Deadmau5, Von D’s first marriage was to Olivier Peck in 2003. She also spent some time engaged to Jesse James in 2011 before the couple’s final split in September of that year.
