Duggar Family News: Jill’s Sickly Look, Baby Samuel’s Jaundiced Appearance Continue To Spark Worry Among Fans
It took them a while, but the Duggars have finally released the first set of photos featuring Samuel Scott Dillard, the latest addition to the iconic reality TV family. Apart from this, Jill Duggar Dillard, who has been absent in social media for some time, was also featured in the first publicly-shared album of the family’s youngest member to date.
While the update has managed to relieve the tension among the family’s followers to a significant degree, concerns regarding mother and child have emerged among Duggar family fans once more. Many have pointed out that Jill seems extremely tired and sick while Baby Samuel seems jaundiced in the publicly shared photos, which could be viewed here.
After the Duggar family announced the release of the images through their official Facebook account, several of their followers immediately noticed that Jill does not seem to be doing well at all. For one, many observed that she looked quite weak and sickly in the image. Considering that she just came out of a major surgery and a long, painful labor, however, her exhausted appearance in the publicly released photos definitely seems justified.
Some members of the official Counting On subreddit have also remarked that the framing of the image showing Jill as she held Samuel was quite unorthodox, as it almost seemed as if the picture was framed specifically in order to hide anything below the Duggar daughter’s chest. This has caused several conversations in the online community, with many speculating that Jill might really have encountered some complications during delivery, leading to a rough recovery.

Apart from Jill, a number of the Duggars’ social media followers have also noted that Baby Samuel looks jaundiced in one of the photos that were released by the reality TV family. Mandy Mitchell Ehnes, a nurse who is one of the Duggars’ followers in Facebook, made the observation as soon as Samuel’s publicly released images were made available.
“He’s a little jaundiced in that picture.”
While Baby Samuel does look quite jaundiced in some of the images released by the Duggars, many of the family’s fans have argued that the yellow tint in the infant’s skin and eyes might simply be due to the lighting in the pictures. Apart from this, many have also remarked that jaundice is a fairly common issue among newborns, and that it usually wanes within a few days. Thus, jaundiced or not, Samuel is likely very healthy.
If there is anything that could not be denied about Baby Samuel Scott Dillard, however, it is the fact that the newest addition to the Duggar and Dillard families has an irresistibly cute smile. This, if anything, is a pretty good sign that Samuel and his mother Jill are probably getting healthier by the day.
