The cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey has reportedly gotten a new cast member for Season 8.
Although an official cast announcement from Bravo TV may not come for another few months, a couple of new reports have named Margaret Josephs as the newest addition to the popular reality series.
“Margaret Josephs is the new Housewife of Jersey,” an insider told Radar Online on July 14. “They are filming now.”
According to the report, the Dirty was first to confirm news of Margaret Josephs’ rumored addition to the cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 8. Josephs will join returning cast members Teresa Giudice, Dolores Catania, Melissa Gorga, Siggy Flicker, and Danielle Staub, who is returning to the show for Season 8 after leaving after Season 2.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 8 does not yet have a premiere date.
Radar Online went on to explain that 50-year-old Margaret Josephs is a home accessories designer and lifestyle expert based in New Jersey. As the outlet explained, her addition to the show comes on the heels of Jacqueline Laurita’s recent exit from the series.
Although Margaret Josephs’ addition remains unconfirmed, the outlet went on to reveal that she’s already been seen filming with Melissa Gorga and Danielle Staub. That said, Radar Online couldn’t confirm whether the rumored new cast member filmed during Kim DePaola’s annual Posche fashion show.
After filming wrapped on The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 7, Jacqueline Laurita, who had been featured on the show each season since it began, confirmed that she would no longer be participating in filming alongside her longtime co-stars.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight in April, Laurita explained that she no longer felt connected to her co-stars. She also said that because the network didn’t immediately grant her a full-time contract to return, she simply wasn’t open to trying out for a series she’d been featured on for the past seven seasons.
To see more of Margaret Josephs and her co-stars, be sure to tune into the upcoming eighth season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, which is expected to air sometime later this year on Bravo TV.
