‘DOOL’ Spoilers: Steve Has A Suspect, Will Tripp Let An Innocent Woman Be Blamed For Kayla’s Predicament?
Days Of Our Lives spoilers for next week reveal that Steve “Patch” Johnson (Stephen Nichols) will have a suspect. As fans know, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) is in hot water at the hospital due to some medication errors that were in patients’ charts. However, the doctor didn’t make any mistakes. Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) changed the notes so she would seem incompetent. Will the young man really allow an innocent woman to be blamed for his reckless scheme?

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Lucas Adams teased that Tripp will have second thoughts about destroying Kayla. However, in the end, he will continue his plan. Tripp does have a moral compass, but in this case, his anger about Ava’s death overrides everything else.
Days Of Our Lives spoilers for Tuesday, July 18, tease that Steve suspects someone is setting up Kayla. He is right, but he will be going after the wrong person. Instead of looking at his son, Tripp, Steve will think that one of the nurses at the hospital is responsible. Specifically, he believes Shelly is up to no good, according to Twitter user @NicholsEvansFan.
During the past few weeks, fans have noticed Shelly’s attitude. When Kayla asked her to do something, the nurse silently nodded, but didn’t move a muscle. When Kayla finally said, “now,” Shelly huffed and puffed, then stomped off to obey orders. In another scene, Tripp asked to learn how to do a simple medical procedure. She obliged, but had a negative and impatient attitude about the entire thing. Viewers couldn’t help but notice how loudly she commented that Tripp saved Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) from harm over Kayla’s incorrect medication notes.
It is understandable why Steve thinks Shelly might be setting up Kayla. She has a horrible attitude and doesn’t enjoy her job. She also seems to have a personal problem with Kayla giving her orders. However, all fans know that she had nothing to do with the medication mistakes. That was all Tripp’s doing.
DOOL spoilers tease that eventually, the truth is going to come out. How will Steve handle finding out that his own son is responsible for Kayla’s career crisis? Will the Johnson family be able to forgive and heal from the destructive scheme? It seems that the only way Tripp will stop trying to get revenge is by finding out the truth. Then, his anger will turn away from Kayla and be directed at his half-brother, Joey (James Lastovic).
