Mandy Moore didn’t get an Emmy nomination for her work on This Is Us, but she’s happy her TV husband and kids did. This Is Us received a whopping 11 Emmy nominations, including Best TV Drama Series, at the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards announcement. The breakout NBC hit is the first network TV drama to land a coveted nod in the Best Drama Series category since The Good Wife in 2011, according to Entertainment Tonight.
While Mandy Moore wasn’t recognized for her high-profile This Is Us role as matriarch Rebecca Pearson, her TV kids Sterling K. Brown and Chrissy Metz were nominated for their work as Randall and Kate, and Ron Cephas Jones for Randall’s biological father, William Hill. In addition, Milo Ventimiglia scored a nod for his starring role as patriarch Jack Pearson, while guest stars Gerald McRaney, Brian Tyree Henry, and Denis O’Hare each scored nominations for their portrayals of Dr. K, Cousin Ricky, and Jessie, respectively.
In the Outstanding Leading Actress category, Mandy Moore was overlooked in lieu of Viola Davis (How to Get Away with Murder), Claire Foy (The Crown), Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale), Keri Russell (The Americans), Evan Rachel Wood (Westworld), and Robin Wright (House of Cards).
Mandy Moore’s role on This Is Us spans decades and has her playing Rebecca Pearson as a young mom all the way up to a 66-year-old grandmother. Moore spends hours in the makeup chair for the present-day scenes on the time-bending NBC drama.
After the Emmy nominations were announced, Mandy Moore took to Twitter to congratulate her co-stars on their recognition.

While Mandy Moore is being a good sport about the snub, some fans were outraged that the actress was passed over after her high-profile role on This Is Us. Fans took to Twitter to tell Mandy Moore that she was just as deserving of a nomination as her co-stars, and some demanded justice for Mandy. One angry fan wrote, “Justice for Mandy Moore!! How the f**k did almost everyone else get a nom but her?” Another fan wrote that Mandy is “the core of the show.”
