‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 7 Premiere: Watch White Walkers Take Over London, Plus, New Episode 1 Details

Fans of HBO’s Game of Thrones have been eagerly counting down the days until Season 7 starts. Now, with only days until the premiere, white walkers have been sent into London to terrorize the locals while they promoted Season 7. And, for those who can’t wait until Sunday, HBO has also released the first images and details for Episode 1 of Game of Thrones.

SPOILER ALERT: This article reveals details about Episode 1 of Season 7 of HBO’s Game of Thrones. Please proceed with caution if you wish to avoid spoilers.

For those in London recently, the sight of white walkers taking over the streets was certainly a sight to behold. The white walkers were seen posing outside Buckingham Palace, crossing the Tower Bridge and marching the streets of Oxford Circus. Many Game of Thrones fans were seen taking photos and video as the white walkers made the rounds of London.

“It may be summer in the UK, but after six seasons, winter has finally arrived in Westeros,” Zai Bennett, the director of programs for Sky Entertainment UK and Ireland, told the Telegraph about the Season 7 promotion involving white walkers.

“With Jon Snow crowned King in the North, Cersei on the iron throne, Daenerys Targaryen and her colossal armada crossing the seven seas to Westeros and the Night King moving south at the helm of a truly terrifying army of the dead, the greatest battles are truly ahead of us. With this in mind it seemed fitting to unleash our very own troop of white walkers on locations across the UK.”

While the event was a spectacle to behold for those who saw it in London, for the actors involved, it was four hours in the makeup chair for each of them before they could take to the streets, according to Business Insider.

Once their makeup was complete, the white walkers took to the streets of London to delight — and terrorize — the locals. But, if you weren’t in London and missed the white walker takeover, you can check out the video below from Business Insider.

For Game of Thrones fans who missed the white walkers in London, CNet noted that fans can still have their own white walker fun thanks to the latest Snapchat filter. However, for those that unlock the secret Game of Thrones filter, be warned, they only have one hour to take their pictures before the filter is gone forever.

Along with the white walker takeover in London to promote the Season 7 premiere, HBO has released some new details about Episode 1 of Game of Thrones. You can find out everything you need to know below.
