WWE News: Braun Strowman Expected to Return to ‘Raw’ Next Week For Major Angle

At WWE Great Balls of Fire, Braun Strowman actually defeated Roman Reigns in their Ambulance Match at the event. However, “The Monster Among Men” was written off Raw after Reigns performed a deadly stunt of running the ambulance into a trailer with Braun in the back. Strowman limped away from the scene with “multiple injuries” and was absent from Raw this week while Reigns has entered the Universal Title hunt.

The WWE Universe has been speculating about how long Braun Strowman will be off WWE television to sell the injuries. For instance, the WWE Universe was lead to believe that Bruan would miss six months after his elbow surgery, but he missed only six weeks. Strowman walked away from the ambulance stunt to continue his push as the unstoppable force in WWE, but his return to Raw will not take six months or even six weeks.

It’s being reported that Braun Strowman will make his return to Raw next week. With creative plans for the WWE Universal Title Match still up in the air for WWE Summerslam, there is a lot of speculation regarding who will have Brock Lesnar at the event. Kurt Angle announced that the match between Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe would determine the No. 1 Contender, but WWE officials have other plans that will include Braun.

It’s been reported that WWE officials are planning a Fatal Four Way at WWE Summerslam involving Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe, and Roman Reigns all getting a shot at Brock Lesnar’s Universal Title at the event in August. The expectation is the match between Joe and Reigns next week will lead to a no contest after “The Monster Among Men” makes his return to Raw. That will eventually force Angle to make a Fatal Four Way.

On paper, a Fatal Four Way makes it easier for Lesnar to drop the title to Joe, Reigns, or Strowman without being pinned or made to submit. It would also allow WWE officials to protect Strowman from taking a clean loss as well. Since the rumors are claiming that Roman Reigns will walk out of WWE Summerslam with the WWE Universal Championship, a Fatal Four Way protects all four guys and allows them to take a clean loss.

However, WWE officials may also change their minds regarding the winner of the match at the PPV. Samoa Joe has a lot of momentum on his side after the match with Lesnar at WWE Great Balls of Fire. Strowman has improved a great deal, and the powers that be may want to reward him with a title run. There are several different ways the Fatal Four Way could be booked, but Strowman’s return will set the table for the match.
