Rumors Of Tarantino’s Cast For The Manson Family Project

With news of Quentin Tarantino’s new project about the Manson Family, fans are wondering who will play the iconic roles. According to rumors and with Tarantino’s history of using many of the same actors in multiple projects, there are plenty of indications about a few of the actors who will probably be in the movie.

There have been numerous movies and television movies made about the Manson murders. While the murderous spree took place in the summer of 1969, it has become a fascination by many even decades later. In August of 1969, the Manson Family murdered five people in the Cielo Drive home owned by director Roman Polanski, including Sharon Tate who was eight and a half months pregnant. Although Charles Manson was not physically present, it was his directive that led to the murders of Sharon Tate, Steven Parent, Wojciech Frykowski, Abigail Folger, and Jay Sebring on that hot summer night.

With Sharon Tate being a focus in the movie project, it is rumored that Margot Robbie of Suicide Squad fame has been approached to play the tragic star who was murdered by the Manson Family. Another actor who has been mentioned for the movie is Brad Pitt and since he has previously been a part of Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds, it is likely that he could very well be a part of this movie, which is set to start production in 2018.

Another name that has been mentioned is Jennifer Lawrence and not surprisingly, Samuel L. Jackson, who has been in five of Tarantino’s movies – Django Unchained, Kill Bill Volume 2., Pulp Fiction, Inglorious Basterds, and Jackie Brown.

There are no solid answers yet as to who has been approached or who may even be on Tarantino’s radar since the news of the movie just leaked but it is only a matter of time before word gets out. According to The Hollywood Reporter.

“Quentin Tarantino is quietly starting to put together his latest project, and is talking to A-list actors for what is promising to be a unique take on the Manson Family murders.”

The script is supposedly in its final stages of being written and has the involvement of Harvey and Bob Weinstein, who have been a part of Tarantino’s previous films. If this film is anything like Tarantino’s other movies we can expect a bloody and violent film that portrays a piece of history that so many are fascinated with – almost 48 years later. Now whether Tarantino takes creative license with the movie is yet to be seen but it should come as no surprise if that is what happens. We will have to wait and see what this highly anticipated film has to offer.
