Toby Willis Of ‘The Willis Family’ Pleads Guilty To Rape Charges

Toby Willis of The Willis Family has pleaded guilty to the rape charges against him. The fans of this show were shocked when they heard the news that Toby had been arrested in the first place. WKRN shared the news about Toby and an update on what is going on now. Toby pleaded guilty to four counts of child rape and will serve forty years in prison on these charges.

Toby Willis started being investigated back in August of 2016. The alleged rape happened over a decade before that but had just been revealed. Gossip Cop shared a few more details saying that Willis will concurrently serve two 25-year terms and two 40-year sentences.

The Inquisitr shared the news when Toby Willis was arrested, and it was originally just on one count of rape. Toby ran from the police and didn’t want to be picked up. They shared that it was an underage female he allegedly raped. There has been some speculation that it was one of his daughters, but this has not been confirmed.

The family released a statement to the press on Tuesday. Here is what they had to say.

“The Willis family would like to thank their family, friends and fans for the outpouring of love and support during this most difficult year… The family has remained fully cooperative throughout the investigation. The family is appreciative and grateful that people have respected their need for privacy during this trying time and asks for continued respect as they seek to move forward.”

Toby and his family had a singing group called The Willis Clan and also had a show called The Willis Family that focused on their music careers and how they were doing. They were compared to the Duggars sometimes due to being such a large family, but they lived a different lifestyle than the Duggars do. Their show was canceled, but fans would like to get a chance to see the rest of The Willis Clan and see how they are doing now without Toby by their side.

Their show on TLC was the third one to be involved in a sex scandal. Everyone knows the story about Josh Duggar, plus Mama June Shannon of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo was accused of dating someone who allegedly molested her child years before that and spent time in prison.
