‘Outlander’ Season 3 Premiere Date Finally Revealed
Outlander fans have been eagerly awaiting any news about Season 3 of the hit Starz television series, and this week they got a huge piece of information. The new season of the show will officially return to the network on September 10.
The big news was announced on the official Outlander Twitter page, where the brand new poster for Season 3 was also revealed. The new key art features Claire and Jamie on each side of the standing stones looking heartbroken and desperate to return to each other.
The tagline reads, “Will the longing ever stop?”
Fans have been waiting through what they call “droughtlander” for any information about Season 3. Most recently, Starz released the first Outlander trailer for the new season, which featured an array of moments that fans are dying to see when the series returns to television this fall.
The trailer featured many emotional moments such as Claire and Jamie saying goodbye to one another — which Outlander fans saw in the Season 2 finale — the aftermath of the Battle of Culloden, and Claire and Frank watching her daughter Briana grow up through the years. Briana is seen during birthdays and her high school graduation, as Claire was forced to celebrate those moments hiding the fact that Briana’s true father, Jamie, would never be there to witness them for himself.

As Outlander viewers know, Briana only just found out that Frank wasn’t her biological father when she and Claire traveled to Scotland together. Briana got the shock of her life when she realized that her mother had been hiding the secret of her real father from her, but she couldn’t believe it when she heard the story of how her mother traveled back in time 200 years and had met the love of her life. Once Briana came around, she got on board with the idea, and it seems she’ll be a huge help to Claire when she travels back again during Season 3 to reunite with Jamie after being apart from him for 20 years.
