Shannon Beador Weight: ‘RHOC’ Star Says She’s ‘Embarrassed’ By Her Weight Gain [Photos]
Shannon Beador is seen struggling with her weight gain in a new sneak peek at The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 12.
Following the release of the Season 12 trailer, which features Shannon Beador admitting that all she wants to do is eat, the reality star and mother of three is seen speaking of her weight gain in a second preview clip.
In the clip, which was shared by People magazine on July 8, Shannon Beador is seen making dinner at her home in Corona del Mar, California, with her husband, David Beador, and their kids.
As fans watch as Shannon Beador prepares a meal for her family, she is seen speaking to the camera about the embarrassment she feels due to her weight gain. Beador also claims that it was her co-star, Vicki Gunvalson, who prompted her weight struggles last year after claiming that her husband beat her while filming the Real Housewives of Orange County Season 11 reunion special.
“That stress caused me to eat more, caused me to drink more, and that’s a huge part of why I gained my weight,” she said. “My weight gain has affected me and how I feel about myself… I’m embarrassed about my body.”
During a trip to Ireland for Season 11, Shannon Beador, Vicki Gunvalson, and their co-stars, including Heather Dubrow, Kelly Dodd, and Meghan King Edmonds, endured tons of drama and at one point, Gunvalson claimed Beador’s husband was violent. Then, during the three-part reunion special months later, the two women once again came to blows when Beador insisted that her husband was not abusive towards her.
Since packing on a reported 40 pounds of extra weight, Shannon Beador has been hitting the gym hard in an effort to get back to her normal size. As she explained to Life & Style magazine last week, she’s been working out for at least 30 minutes each day and eating a diet based on protein and vegetables.
