Taylor Swift’s Boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, Refuses To Be Exploited By Singer For Publicity, Claims Source
Taylor Swift has reportedly realized that her boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, has no interest in finding photos of himself with the singer all over the news, it’s been reported.
According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Joe is quite the opposite from the men Taylor Swift has dated in the past, who seemed to have had no problem being seen with the “Shake It Off” singer in public.
With her previous romance to Tom Hiddleston, the twosome were constantly photographed together, to the point where photographers taking pictures of them didn’t even bother them anymore.
But according to a source, Joe is the complete opposite. He’s not interested in doing anything that could remotely be considered a publicity stunt, and would prefer to keep his romance with Taylor Swift as private as possible.
Could this be the reason why Alwyn did not show up to Taylor Swift’s Fourth of July party?
The celebrity news outlet continues to claim that though Taylor holds an annual celebration on July 4, this year saw a handful of friends skip the party, and to make matters worse, Joe reportedly didn’t show up either.
Last year’s celebration was posted all over social media sites. Taylor Swift even shared photos of herself laughing and cuddling with ex-boyfriend Tom Hiddleston as they partied the night away.
Celeb Dirty Laundry added that Taylor Swift will have to adjust to the new lifestyle of being private about her relationship with Joe if she really wants to commit herself to the romance.
She’s already introduced him to her parents, People reveals, so it’s clear that she sees herself having a future with him, but with her forthcoming album supposedly hitting stores later this year, publicizing her romance with Alwyn could potentially help the number of records she sells in the first week.
Taylor Swift is said to have used this same technique in the past with Harry Styles and Joe Jonas — more public outings tended to help a number of records that she would go on to sell for that week.
But considering that Joe Alwyn isn’t a household name, such as the previous names mentioned, it wouldn’t seem to make a big difference whether she flaunts her romance with him before the album release or not.
Either way, Joe doesn’t want to be on Taylor Swift’s social media pages, nor does he wants photographers chasing after him while he’s with the singer.
