Lydia McLaughlin has returned to the cast of The Real Housewives of Orange County for Season 12 and in a new interview, the mother of three is revealing the reason behind her decision to give reality television another go-around.
After leaving the Bravo reality series after filming the eighth season years ago, Lydia McLaughlin is now a mother of three and hoping that her second season on the show will be more fun than her first.
After admitting that she wasn’t mentally prepared for her role on The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 8, Lydia McLaughlin told Entertainment Tonight Canada that taking a break from the show to focus on her family has gotten her to a better place.
“I have space in my life to do it again, and maybe this time it’d be a little more fun because I know what to expect,” she explained.
Although Lydia McLaughlin’s first season on The Real Housewives of Orange County wasn’t exactly what she was anticipating it would be, she’s ready to show a different side of herself during Season 12.
In addition to showcasing her newfound voice after helping her husband launch a new magazine, Lydia McLaughlin will reportedly focus on her family, faith, and friends as she continues on with her return to reality.
Lydia McLaughlin will be joined on the show by several returning housewives and one new housewife, Peggy Sulahian.
In the sneak peek at The Real Housewives of Orange County‘s 12th season, Lydia McLaughlin is seen introducing Peggy Sulahian to her co-stars.
Lydia McLaughlin appears to be close to a number of her co-stars, including Peggy Sulahian, Vicki Gunvalson, and Tamra Judge, but as fans know, Gunvalson and Judge are at odds. As for Shannon Beador, who is also at odds with Gunvalson, McLaughlin is seen feuding with her during a sneak peek at the coming episodes.
To see more of Lydia McLaughlin and her co-stars, including Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Judge, Shannon Beador, Meghan King Edmonds, Kelly Dodd, and Peggy Sulahian, tune into the upcoming premiere of The Real Housewives of Orange County on Monday, July 10 at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV.
