Drake Bell Says There’s No Hard Feelings About Josh Peck Wedding Drama, Still Hopes For ‘Drake & Josh’ Reunion

Drake Bell says he never expected his social media rant about longtime co-star Josh Peck’s wedding to get as much attention as it did. The former Drake & Josh star told People magazine he was simply caught off guard when his longtime pal neglected to invite him to his wedding, especially since he didn’t even know Peck was getting married.

“I was caught off guard,” Bell told People of Peck’s recent wedding to Paige O’Brien.

“I hadn’t heard of anything about it.”

Last month, Drake Bell made headlines when he tweeted an angry response to Peck after finding out he was not included on his Nickelodeon co-star’s wedding guest list. Drake told his followers of the glaring oversight: “When you’re not invited to the wedding the message is clear…. Loyalty is key… ALWAYS remember where you came from.”

In a series of tweets directed at Peck, Bell announced that Peck’s “true colors have come out today” and ties had been “officially cut.”

“I’ll miss you brother,” he wrote.

While Drake Bell quickly deleted the tweets, the screenshots of his rant went viral. Some Drake & Josh fans later slammed Josh Peck for not inviting his longtime TV stepbrother to the biggest day of his life. (For the record, the duo’s Drake & Josh sister, Miranda Cosgrove, didn’t get an invite either.)

Interestingly, Peck’s recent TV dad, Grandfathered star John Stamos, scored an invite to the wedding and was featured prominently in photos from the ceremony. Peck and Stamos have been inseparable in recent weeks, as can be seen on Stamos’ Instagram feed, and the Fuller House star even threw shade at Bell when he joked that he got an invitation to the wedding and didn’t even want one.

Despite all of the post-wedding drama, Bell now tells People “there are no hard feelings” against Peck.

“He’s been my best friend for 18 years,” Drake said.

“In all honesty, we talk all the time, we’ve been talking. I was just expecting…”

Bell said he was saddened when fans attacked his longtime friend online over the incident, saying Josh is still “his bro.”

While Drake & Josh ended its four-season run in 2007, Drake Bell still holds out hope for a reunion of the Nick sitcom about two stepbrothers.

“I would love to [do a reunion],” Bell told People.

“If it’s done in the right way. I don’t know if a reunion of us doing same characters as in Drake and Josh, or different ones like in Pineapple Express. But it would definitely be fun.”

While Drake Bell says all is cool with his longtime bestie, an insider told Us Weekly that Josh Peck told guests at his wedding that, until recently, he hadn’t spoken to Drake in person in more than three years and that their communication consisted of a few social media interactions a year. The source said Peck was “really hurt” by Bell’s tweets, but maintained the two actors “aren’t close anymore and Josh had a very small wedding.”

Drake and Josh reunited onscreen last year when Bell guest-starred on an episode of Grandfathered. Fans hope that won’t be the last time they are seen on TV together, but now it sounds like it’s Josh Peck’s move.
