Shia LaBeouf just can’t seem to catch a break. Just months after his failed “He Will Not Divide Us” performance art piece failed and resulted in his NYC arrest for allegedly assaulting a pro-Trump protester of the exhibit, the Transformers star has been arrested again. This time, Shia LaBeouf was picked up by police in Georgia for a litany of misdemeanors stemming from allegedly being drunk in public.
According to Fox News, Shia LaBeouf was arrested early on Saturday morning and spent several hours in custody. The actor, who has faced repeated and embarrassing legal drama, often related to public intoxication, has recently been filming his upcoming flick The Peanut Butter Falcon in Savannah. Just weeks ago, LaBeouf was reportedly spotted misbehaving in the U.S. South. According to witnesses, Shia was seen urinating into the ocean on Georgia’s Tybee Island.
CNN reported that Shia LaBeouf was arrested at roughly 4:00 a.m. Saturday. The star then spent a few hours in lockup before posting a hefty $7,000 bond and being released from the Chatham County Detention Center. According to police records, the entire incident that resulted in Shia’s weekend arrest stemmed from the actor attempting to bum a cigarette and being denied his smoke.
Officers say that Shia LaBeouf walked up to a police officer and random bystander in the wee hours of Saturday morning in an attempt to score a cigarette. He was unsuccessful, something that apparently infuriated the actor. After being denied the cigarette he was seeking, Shia LaBeouf reportedly “became disorderly” by using profanities and vulgar language.
In an attempt to defuse the situation without escalating, the officer on the scene reportedly asked Shia LaBeouf to simply walk away from the confrontation and leave the area. The allegedly drunken star refused, and even began to act aggressively toward the police officer. When the officer decided that enough was enough and attempted to place the former child star under arrest, Shia LaBeouf reportedly fled the scene.
“When the officer attempted to place LaBeouf under arrest, LaBeouf ran to a nearby hotel.”
Ultimately, police were able to catch up to LaBeouf and take him into custody.

How you all treated Shia was simply evil. It's like you dumped over trashcans and lit police cars on fire, in his mind!

Where is his family? He needs help. I hope he is not the next 'celebrity' to 'go?'

Saturday morning’s arrest is just the latest in a string of legal troubles that have dogged Shia LaBeouf in recent years, many of which have been related to his misuse of alcohol. In 2008, LaBeouf was arrested for DUI in California. In 2014, he pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct after behaving in a truly bizarre manner at a Broadway performance. As part of his 2014 plea agreement, Shia was to undergo alcohol treatment.
However, in 2015 he was once again arrested as a result of his alcohol use, that time involving an instance of public intoxication in Texas.
Multiple media outlets reached out to Shia LaBeouf’s manager and publicist after he was arrested on Saturday morning, but they have yet to comment or release a statement.
