‘Little People, Big World’: Amy Roloff Takes Boyfriend Chris To Meet Her Parents, Are Things Getting Serious?

Are things getting serious between Little People, Big World matriarch Amy Roloff and her new boyfriend, Chris Marek?

Maybe.

According to her Instagram and Facebook accounts, Amy is currently enjoying a vacation in her home state of Michigan. Her adventures have included a visit to her “favorite place,” Mackinac Island, a get together with fellow Central Michigan University grads at a local eatery, and a visit with her parents.

Why is this significant? Because Chris has accompanied Amy on her trip back home!

In an Instagram photo posted on July 6, Amy is seen beaming on a boat with Chris at her side.

“Michigan. I love you!” she wrote.

“My good friends Darlene and Brad invited Chris and I on their boat. Beautiful absolutely wonderful being on Lake Michigan from Muskegon to Grand Haven. Thank you so much friends.”

Regular Little People, Big World viewers know that Amy Roloff, 52, began dating Chris in 2016, a little over a year after her divorce from Matt Roloff, 55, was finalized. The show has chronicled their romance ever since, from their first date on the back of Chris’ motorcycle to their first sleepover to their six-month anniversary this spring.

While the pair of lovebirds has apparently been having a great time, Amy admitted to LPBW cameras that she was worried that Chris, 54, wouldn’t be interested in her because she is a little person, while he is of average height.

“I just never thought someone who is average size would be interested in me,” she confessed.

“I just really want him to never question or doubt the relationship because I’m a little person.”

In one recent Little People, Big World episode, Amy mustered up the courage to ask Chris point blank whether he was bothered by dating a little person.

Chris admitted that he had overheard a few comments and giggles from strangers while he and Amy were out and about, but he assured her that it didn’t bother him. This seemed to mean a lot to Amy, who gushed about how much fun she enjoys spending time with Chris.

“I just have a good time. I have fun with him,” she said.

“I never thought I’d be dating as a grandma, and it’s nice to experience that and be with someone.”

Some Little People, Big World viewers have taken to social media to question whether Chris–who has never been married–is really committed to Amy. However, Amy’s choice to bring her new beau on a cross-country trip from Oregon to Michigan to meet her parents, family, and oldest friends suggests things are really heating up.

In fact, Chris’ trip to Amy’s hometown comes on the heels of another big moment in their relationship. In the LPBW season finale, Amy reluctantly arranged for Chris to come face to face with family patriarch Matt Roloff for the first time.

Amy confessed that the meeting left her “panicking,” but it all went smoothly, with Chris declaring Matt “a nice guy.”

What do you think, Little People, Big World fans? Is Amy Roloff’s decision to take Chris home to meet her family and friends in Michigan a big deal? Do you think Chris is serious about Amy?

Little People, Big World returns to TLC in September.
