Paparazzi Spar With Rome Film Fest Organizers Over “Triage” Photo Call

Rome, Italy (CNS) – The Rome Film Festival has caused a furor with the paparazzi when a misunderstanding about the daytime photo call for the film “Triage” emerged.
The movie event kicked off Thursday with photographers sparring with the organizers over Bosnian director Danis Tanovic’s wartime trauma drama.
As reported by Variety, photographers were incensed about the cramped space and poor lightning in the auditorium’s tiny photo call area. They put their cameras on the floor and crossed their arms in a bid to boycott the festival’s first photo call.
But organizers assured the paparazzi that working conditions would improve later, prompting the paparazzi to acknowledge the truce and shoot photos for the film’s evening red carpet.
“Triage” is based on the 1998 novel by Scott Anderson. It focuses on the psychological effects of war on a photo journalist. Colin Farrell, who was absent in the fest, plays the protagonist. Paz Vega and Sir Christopher Lee also star.
Rome Film Festival runs from October 15 to 23.
