Kim Kardashian’s Failed Friendship With Beyonce Allegedly The Reason Jay Z And Kanye West Are Feuding

Kim Kardashian never did manage to hit it off with Beyonce, despite the fact that their husbands used to be best friends. Despite Kim’s best efforts to get in Beyonce’s good graces, there have been multiple reports that alleged that Beyonce just didn’t like Kim very much at all, and only “tolerated” her for Jay Z. Now, it’s being alleged that Beyonce’s aversion to Kim is the source of Jay Z and Kanye West’s recent feud.

For those unaware, Jay Z recently dropped a surprise album called 4:44. On the track, “Kill Jay Z,” Jay Z referenced his shaky history with Kanye West, which has been seen as a response to Kanye’s now-infamous onstage concert rant in which he called out Bey and Jay for not keeping in contact and putting industry politics before friendship. Kanye also told the crowd that Bey and Jay’s daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, had never met his own child, North West. Though Kanye covered a lot of ground during his rant, Page Six is reporting that the rant that prompted Jay Z’s response was mostly Kim’s failed friendship with Beyonce.

“[Kanye’s] rant was really about Kim and Beyonce not being BFFs. Kanye is frustrated that his wife does not have a better relationship with Beyonce,” said the source.

“He wanted to put that pressure on Jay. It’s like, ‘We’re cool and we do business together, and now our wives should be friends?’ “

Jay Z and Beyonce, however, did not share Kanye’s feelings on the matter, according to the source. Apparently, Beyonce is a “Southern, God-fearing woman” who just may not have much in common with Kim.

This same source doesn’t have much hope that Kanye and Jay Z will ever make up.

“It’s like, Jay believed in you and now you’ve alienated him to where he’s like f**k you.”

Page Six also notes that a second source is not as pessimistic about a possible reconciliation between the former friends.

“Their relationship is familial… I’d be very surprised if they didn’t work together or have some kind of relationship in the future.”

It remains to be seen if Jay Z and Kanye West will indeed make up. Surprisingly, Kanye West has not responded to Jay Z’s diss at this time — at least not directly. The rapper — known for his rants on social media — has kept a low profile since Jay Z released his surprise album. Kim’s husband has, however, officially parted ways with TIDAL, Jay Z’s music streaming platform. According to TMZ, Kanye West’s lawyers sent Jay Z papers declaring that their contract was over due to unpaid wages and bonuses, after both sides were unable to come to an agreement.
