‘Jessica Jones’ Season 2 Premiere Spoilers: Set Photos Reveal Jessica’s New Look, Reunion With Trish

Krysten Ritter is set to appear on Netflix’s The Defenders, which has recently wrapped up filming, but fans are already looking forward to her standalone series, Jessica Jones, which has already started production for Season 2.

In the latest update on Jessica Jones Season 2, Krysten’s character has been revealed to put on a new outfit. Last week, MarvelStudiosMovies posted on Twitter photos of the actress wearing a Rolling Stones jacket, which is different from the iconic black leather jacket she wore in Season 1. Still, it’s not a huge change for Jessica because her new outfit still gives her that punk-rock appeal.

It remains to be seen if this outfit change will be permanent for Season 2, but fans should expect this tiny bit of change in the series.

The brand new set photos also teased Ritter and Rachael Taylor’s reunion on set. Both play as best friends in Jessica Jones. It is expected that Ritter and Taylor, who plays Trish, will do more scenes in Season 2. After all, series creator Melissa Rosenberg confirmed to Entertainment Weekly in 2016 that the next season will focus more on the Jessica-Trish dynamic.

“I’m interested in continuing to explore the relationship between Trish and Jessica. That is the core relationship in the piece. It is about female friendship, it is about how friends evolve — they’re sisters, really — and it’s about how they evolve and ping off each other.”

Rosenberg added that Trish and Jessica’s relationship could be anything — they could be friends, family, and have a professional or even romantic relationship. While Rosenberg remained tight-lipped when it comes to plotlines for Jessica Jones Season 2, her statement hints that the two characters’ friendship will be explored further and they could work together to make sure Hell’s Kitchen stays safe.

Besides Ritter and Taylor, the cast of Jessica Jones Season 2 will likely include Carrie-Ann Moss, who plays Jeri Hogarth. Mike Colter’s Luke Cage, Jessica’s love interest, may also have an appearance in some of the episodes, but it’s likely that fans won’t see him as much as they did in the previous season, Trusted Reviews reported.

A new actor has also joined the series. Janet McTeer has been confirmed to be part of Jessica Jones’ second season but it’s unclear whether she’ll play as one of the good guys or the bad guys. However, it was teased that McTeer’s character “will have an enormous impact on Jessica’s life.”

Jessica Jones Season 2 is currently filming and Netflix has yet to announce the exact release date of the brand new episodes.
