Charlie Sheen Writes $75,000 Check For Little Girl’s Cancer Treatments

Who says money doesn’t solve problems? Charlie Sheen just cut a $75,000 check to help a little girl fight cancer.

TMZ had a conversation with a Hermosa Beach police officer who revealed that his 10-year-old daughter Jasmine had been diagnosed with Childhood Rhabdomyosarcoma. CR is a particularly nasty cancer because it attacks the muscle tissue and requires over a year of complex and expensive medical treatments like chemo and radiation therapy.

It’s unclear how Sheen and the officer met (Sheen wasn’t being arrested, we know that much), but he reportedly told the cop, “No parent should have to watch their kid go through that.” The very next day, Sheen sent a check for $75,000 to the Hermosa Beach Police Assoc., who set up a fund in Jasmine’s honor.

Additionally, Charlie Sheen’s stunt-double, Eddie Braun, chipped in $25,000 as well, bringing the total from Sheen’s camp to $100,000. The family says that they are extremely grateful for the donation.

Charlie Sheen has turned from his eccentric warlock ways in recent months and is apparently exploring a softer side to his personality based on charity and goodwill. After hearing of Lindsay Lohan’s tax troubles, Sheen did a test-run by offering the troubled starlet $100,000 to help her clear her tax bill. That’ didn’t go so well.

“She got shorted and I found out, so I said, ‘Here.’ I’m still waiting for a text to say thank you. Anything, you know?”

There, there, Charlie. It’s about the act itself, not the response. Still, it’s good to see Mr. Sheen using his wealth to do a little good.
