Taylor Swift Branded ‘Yoko Ono’ By One Direction Fans: Not So, Says A Source

One Direction fans aren’t happy with Taylor Swift, apparently. Reportedly, fans are now calling the “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” singer “Yoko Ono” because of her almost constant presence by Harry Style’s side.

The reference is to John Lennon’s widow, Yoko Ono, who was blamed by The Beatles fans for the band’s split in 1970.

After being spotted holding hands in New York earlier this week, Swift, 22, was seen backstage at the X Factor final in Manchester, England this weekend while One Direction performed their latest hit “Kiss You” in front of thousands of screaming fans.

Reportedly, resentment in the band peaked this week when the group made plans to fly back to the UK ahead of their X Factor appearance.

Instead of travelling with the band on a scheduled flight, Styles hitched a ride with Swift in her private jet.

According to The Sun newspaper, a source close to One Directionsaid:

“There was loads of room for the rest of the band in Taylor’s luxury jet but he didn’t even suggest they traveled together. It’s really not far off from the Yoko situation.”

Reportedly, the rest of One Direction — Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne — were left smarting over their exclusion.

This is the story currently doing the rounds. But it’s been soundly disputed by one source who said the story was:

“Crazy and completely untrue.”

What cannot be denied, however, is that Swift — who recently beat boxed with LL Cool J at the “Grammy Nominations concert” — seems head over heels with Styles.
