Watch Arizona Diamondbacks Vs. Philadelphia Phillies Live Stream On Facebook: Start Time, MLB Game Of The Week

For Major League Baseball fans, Friday means it’s time for the Facebook Game of the Week to live stream for free. This week, the Facebook MLB matchup pits the Arizona Diamondbacks, who are fighting to reclaim the top spot in the National League West, against the floundering Philadelphia Phillies — who even with 95 games remaining in their season are playing for little more than respectability.

To find out how to watch a free live stream on Facebook when the Diamondbacks and Phillies take to the Citizen’s Bank Park field on Friday evening, see the streaming information at the bottom of this article. Unlike most other MLB streaming platforms, the Facebook live stream is not subject to blackouts even in the two teams’ home markets.

After a five-year absence from postseason play, the Diamondbacks appear in position to get back to the playoffs in 2017, sitting just one game behind the NL West leaders, the Colorado Rockies, and tied for second with the Los Angeles Dodgers. The three-game weekend set against Philadelphia, the team with the worst record in baseball at 22-43, represents a golden opportunity for Arizona to gain ground on the division leaders, who host another struggling team, the San Francisco Giants, at Coors Field this weekend.

For the Phillies, their 2014 first-round draft pick, Aaron Nola, takes the mound coming off two strong outings after a slow start in which he was hampered by a strained lower back. Nola allowed three runs over five innings against the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday. His start prior to that one was his strongest of the season, giving up just one in eight innings to the Atlanta Braves while fanning six.

After facing three consecutive left-handed Boston Red Sox pitchers, the Phillies will deal with a southpaw yet again as Arizona sends 27-year-old Patrick Corbin to the mound. But the lefty has struggled all season, allowing 93 hits — including 14 home runs — and 23 walks over his 72 innings so far in 2017.

Even coming off a nail-biting 1-0 victory Thursday over the Red Sox, the Phillies are already 17 1/2 games behind the NL East leaders, the Washington Nationals.
