Roman Reigns Reveals Most Fans Will Not Like His Announcement On ‘Monday Night Raw’ Next Week

Roman Reigns was not present this past week on Monday Night Raw but he faced Bray Wyatt in a dark match after the show went off the air. Reigns will be back next week to make a very important announcement regarding his plans for SummerSlam. However, Roman has revealed on Twitter that many fans are not going to be happy with his announcement.

As recapped by Sportskeeda, Roman Reigns was noticeably absent in this week’s Monday Night Raw along with Finn Balor. The show went up against the Game 5 of the 2017 NBA Finals and the WWE did not want to use two of their top stars knowing that they will lose in the ratings anyway. Reigns appeared after the show and defeated Wyatt in a dark match to send the fans home happy.

The Big Dog is going to be back next week on the June 19 episode of Monday Night Raw at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana. It’s a vital edition of the show since the ratings have seen an alarming decline over the past month. The WWE has hyped it up by having Roman Reigns make an important announcement about his plans for SummerSlam.

Reigns, however, revealed on Twitter that not many people will like his announcement. Regardless of the reactions of the fans next week, Roman does not care about anyone’s opinion since he is going to make it inside his yard. Whether you like Reigns or not, you have to tune in on Monday Night Raw next week to hear what The Big Dog has to say.

Many fans have speculated on what Reigns is going to announce next week on Monday Night Raw. One of the rumors includes a potential Roman Reigns vs. John Cena dream match at SummerSlam. However, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer (h/t Wrestle Zone) reported that the current plan is for Cena to face Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship in the biggest event of the summer.

Roman Reigns vs. John Cena is a big match that will happen down the line. It’s a dream match whether you like both WWE superstars or you hate them. The match should be reserved for WrestleMania in what could be a passing of the torch moment from the present face of the WWE to the future face of the company.

On the other hand, Randall Ortman of Cageside Seats reported that Roman Reigns will not have an opportunity to make his announcement next week on Monday Night Raw. One of the current plans is for Braun Strowman to make his return and attack Reigns before he can announce his intentions for SummerSlam.

One option under consideration for Roman Reigns announcement next week is to have Braun Strowman attack him before he can make it. This would set-up a match at Great Balls of Fire and possibly another at SummerSlam if WWE opts to continue Samoa Joe vs. Brock Lesnar.”

Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman have been feuding since January and they are expected to resume their rivalry now that Strowman was cleared from his elbow injury. According to PW Insider, the Monster Among Men was given the green light to return to action by WWE doctors. Strowman had to undergo elbow surgery last month.

Reigns and Strowman have tremendous chemistry as rivals and fans cannot wait to see the two behemoths clash inside the ring again. Reigns is still the most polarizing superstar in the WWE today while Strowman has improved drastically and he has gotten over the tough WWE crowd. The ratings for Monday Night Raw is expected to increase next week with the announcement of Reigns, as well as the return of Finn Balor and the follow up on the Samoa Joe-Brock Lesnar altercation.
