In Episode 12, titled “Voodoo Child,” The Hollow really has done the unthinkable. Believing The Hollow could be destroyed, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) unleashed all of her frustration and rage on the villain’s body. While repeatedly stabbing the body, Freya Mikaelson (Riley Voelkel) stood in the background with tears in her eyes. However, the evil entity already had a plan and put her spirit in Hope’s body, possessing Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Hayley’s daughter.

Spoiler TV posted a video clip in which Michael Narducci talked about the devastating issue the family faces in The Originals Season 4, Episode 12. The Mikaelson family is going to have to be careful in how they deal with The Hollow in “Voodoo Child.” If they don’t do things just right, Hope could die. However, they also can’t allow the villain to stay inside Klaus and Hayley’s daughter.

“Now, this beautiful, innocent child is now the vessel that is holding the deadliest witch in New Orleans history.”

Hayley confronts Freya to discuss what went wrong in their plan. Riley Voelkel’s character speculates that The Hollow somehow tapped into Hayley’s bloodline in a deliberate attempt to overcome the power. The Originals executive producer explains that this whole situation is devastating for the Mikaelson clan. Not only has The Hollow targeted one of their family members, but Hope is just a little girl.

“What can the family do to stand against this evil monstrosity when it has actually taken possession of the child that they love and will do anything to protect it?”

Hayley is absolutely correct when she says The Hollow knows that she won’t do anything to hurt Hope Mikaelson. Even Freya is out of ideas and doesn’t know what to do. According to the synopsis for The Originals Season 4, Episode 12, this is where Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) comes in. Klaus will be forced to rely on him to save Hope. Vincent thinks he can use The Hollow’s dark magic against her. However, can it be done in a way so that Hope doesn’t get hurt?

Grateful to spend my morning with the lovely @phoebejtonkin ???????????? #besttvmom #friendshipgoals

Sneak peek photos from Spoilers Guide shows Freya and Elijah Mikaleson (Daniel Gillies) talking to Vincent. They are most likely discussing the evil entity and Vincent seems to be trying to explain something to them. With The Originals Season 4 finale quickly approaching, The Hollow should be defeated soon. Even if she can’t be killed, maybe Vincent will discover a way to render her powerless and free Hope at the same time.

The Originals Season 4, Episode 12, titled “Voodoo Child,” airs on June 16.
