Did Falcon Heene out balloon incident as a publicity stunt on CNN?

Around 0:35, when asked why Falcon didn’t respond to calls, Falcon replies, “…you guys said… uh…  we did this for the show…”

Things get all quiet, then mom Mayumi Heene just says unsteadily, “…no.”
