‘Nanny Nightmare’: LMN Movie–Hunky Babysitter Has ‘Daddy Issues’ In Lifetime Movie Network Suspense Thriller

Nanny Nightmare is an exciting new flick that will air on Lifetime Movie Network this weekend. Everyone knows how much Lifetime loves a good nanny nightmare movie. However, don’t confuse this movie with Lifetime’s 2013 movie, The Nightmare Nanny, or 2017’s, Evil Nanny. Saturday night’s suspense movie, Nanny Nightmare, tells the story of a mother who hires her handsome male neighbor as a nanny for her infant son. Little does she know, the nanny or “manny” has deadly intentions. Nanny Nightmare on LMN stars Erin Cahill as Lauren, Brady Smith as James, Jake Manley as Owen, and Tyler Huth as Carter.

Synopsis of Nanny Nightmare on Lifetime Movie Network (LMN)

Just like any other mom, Lauren is juggling her time between taking care of the house and taking care of her precious baby boy. Her workload is about to become a lot heavier since her husband, James, secured a new contract at work. Lauren knows this means James will be working long hours.

Showing support, Lauren tells James that she is happy about his accomplishment but informs him that she is hiring a new nanny. The nanny, however, turns out to be the neighbor, a young guy named, Owen.

Owen needs the money, and Lauren needs the help. James doesn’t seem thrilled with the idea but accepts it passively. Not only is Owen young, hot, and handsome, he is also handy with the tools. He fixes things around the house, things that James has neglected for a long time. He also tends to Lauren’s emotional needs by telling her how beautiful she is and acknowledging the fact that James doesn’t give her the attention and appreciation she deserves and desires.

Although James is working long hours, he is in tune with the gnawing and uneasy feeling Owen gives him. One day when he comes home to check on Lauren and the baby, James sees that Owen repaired all the broken items around the house. He even notices how well Owen takes care of the baby. What is more troubling is the attention that Owen is giving to his wife.

In reality, it’s worse than James could have ever imagined. Owen is a sinister character with diabolical intentions. His frequent violent eruptions are also causing problems in the neighborhood. James and Lauren soon find out that Owen has installed camera systems around the house and is watching their every move.

While Lauren and James begin digging around for more information about Owen, the basement of Owen’s home may hold a frightening secret.

Filmed in Knoxville, Tennessee, Artificial Person Productions produced Nanny Nightmare. The Lifetime Movie Network movie is directed by Brian Herzlinger and written by Brian McAuley. It is not based on a true story. Nanny Nightmare airs this Saturday, June 17, at 8/7 p.m. Central on LMN. Last week, Lifetime aired Menendez: Blood Brothers.
