Carrie Underwood Supports Husband Mike Fisher After Sad Loss

Carrie Underwood is confirming that she may just be the most supportive wife in the NHL by posting a sweet message for her husband Mike Fisher following the Nashville Predators sad defeat in the Stanley Cup.

Taking to Instagram to share an adorable photo of herself and her husband, who’s the Preds captain, Underwood couldn’t help but gush over her husband of almost seven years while making it clear that she’s still very proud of her man despite the Tennessee team losing out on the cup.

Posing with Mike at a wrap party for the Nashville Predators players and their families, Carrie called her husband a “hunk” and noted that the two are “blessed.”

“Had a lovely night last night celebrating with the players, wives and staff of the [Preds]… oh, as well as with this hunk!” Underwood captioned her adorable photo with Mike, with whom she has a 2-year-old son, Isaiah.

“We are so thankful for such an incredible season and the amazing group of people we got to spend it with!” continued Carrie shortly after Mike thanked the team’s fans for their support on his own Instagram page, before she added the sweet hashtag “Blessed.”

Underwood hasn’t been shy when it comes to supporting the team in their journey to the Stanley Cup over the past few months and has been extremely vocal on social media when it comes to standing behind Fisher and his team mates.

This is the second time in recent days that Underwood has gushed over Fisher as the country superstar also shared another sweet message for the hockey player on Instagram earlier this month.

Telling her more than 6 million followers that she was “so proud” of Mike, Carrie Underwood added that she was “amazed every single day at the kind of human he is” while also calling Fisher an “amazing man of God.”

Carrie then signed off her incredibly sweet message for her husband, “I love you, baby.”

But it’s not just on social media where Underwood is doing a whole lot of gushing over the Nashville Predators captain.

Though she attended the 2017 CMT Awards without Mike as her date on June 7, Carrie proved that her husband wasn’t far from her mind while accepting her award for Female Video of the Year – one of two CMT Awards she took home on the night.

Carrie once again described herself as being “blessed” while accepting the award for her single “Church Bells” and hinted that there’s lots in store for herself and her husband.

“Thank you God for so many incredible blessings that we have in our lives,” Underwood said while on stage per Fox News, referring to her family life with Mike and their son, Isaiah. “We are so grateful and we are so blessed.”

Though Carrie didn’t list her blessings during the award show speech, her latest sweet gush comes shortly after the superstar teased that she and the Nashville Predators captain may be expanding their family in the not too distant future.
