Brad Pitt is a survivor. After going through months of rumors about troubled times following his shocking split from Angelina Jolie, Brad reportedly has turned his life around. And in addition to looking terrific during a recent red carpet appearance, Pitt allegedly is enjoying another perk of his post-Angelina life. A new report claims that Brad’s ex-wife Jennifer Aniston has forgiven him and is even willing to start their relationship over again as friends.
Pitt “looked gorgeous” during his recent red carpet appearance at the New York debut of Netflix’s Okja, an observer told Page Six.
“[Brad] looked healthy and happy.”
The eyewitness also revealed that Pitt stayed about 45 minutes at a Cinema Society afterparty at Top of the Standard.
“He seemed to be in a great mood. He did not look like a broken man,” added the observer.
People Magazine described Brad as in “good spirits” at the film premiere. Okja features Jake Gyllenhaal, Tilda Swinton, Lily Collins, Paul Dano, and Korean actress Ahn Seo-hyun.
The movie begins streaming on Netflix on June 28. Screened at the Cannes Film Festival and receiving excellent reviews, the film was produced by Pitt’s production company, Plan B.
The red carpet event marked Brad’s third premiere in just a few months, a noticeable contrast to the initial months after his split from Jolie when he was rarely seen. Now, however, Pitt is increasingly in the spotlight, also seen supporting The Lost City of Z and War Machine.
Commenting on Pitt’s most recent red carpet appearance, GQ pointed out that “few have been as well-known and well-loved for quite as long as Brad.” Consequently, Pitt has succeeded in experiencing “man of the moment” eras on more than one occasion, with each linked to a major milestone such as a key film role or the start (or end) of a romance.
Symbols of Brad’s current “man of the moment” experience on the red carpet at Netflix’s Okja premiere included a houndstooth suit, impeccable white dress shirt, and stylish shoes from Salvatore Ferragamo. GQ described the actor as “a man at the top of his game.”
Has Pitt’s ex-wife Jennifer Aniston helped the actor experience a new “man of the moment” era in his life? Although Brad showed up solo on the red carpet, he allegedly has renewed his relationship with Aniston. Currently married to Justin Theroux, however, Jennifer isn’t looking for a rekindled romance with Brad. Instead, it’s reportedly all about her forgiving Pitt and starting over again.
Life & Style told readers that Brad and Jennifer had a “longtime feud.” But now, in the wake of Pitt’s split from Angelina Jolie, the 53-year-old has reportedly sought to end that feud by apologizing to Aniston, his first wife.
Insiders told Life & Style that Jennifer decided to accept the “peace offering” from Brad. Aniston currently is enjoying the celebration of two years of married life with Justin Theroux, and she reportedly told Pitt that she “forgives him,” said one of the sources.
“[Jennifer] was incredibly receptive to the amends [Brad] was making.”
Aniston also reportedly advised Pitt to shift his focus to “the future,” added the insider. She reportedly left her meeting with the actor “with a whole new attitude toward Brad,” noted the source.
“She actually vowed to start over with him as a genuine friend,” said the insider.
However, the source also commented that getting the apology from Pitt was somewhat of a shocker for Jennifer, because it was reportedly “out of character.” The insider attributed the apology and alleged change in the actor’s character to all of the “therapy and recovery” that Brad has gone through.
“He’s learned to express his feelings,” summed up the source. “He addressed all the hurt he caused her.”
