TWD spoilers are ahead. Do not continue reading unless you want to know what to expect on the AMC series.
When The Walking Dead returns in October, several communities will unite to battle Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and the Saviors. The Spoiling Dead Fans have been busy posting filming updates, which tease what will happen in Season 8. According to the TWD spoiler experts, one community may lose some people and bodies will be bloody and burnt. It turns out that Ezekiel (Khary Payton) will be saying goodbye to some soldiers from his group, the Kingdom.
According to the Facebook post, the bloody and burnt bodies appear to be in a junkyard. As fans recall from last season, Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh) and the Scavengers turned a junkyard into their apocalyptic home. Could the Scavengers be responsible for Ezekiel losing some soldiers? It’s hard to say right now, but looking at the pictures, it doesn’t look like Jadis’ junkyard. Their setup was quite elaborate, so perhaps the Kingdom is attacked by Negan and the Saviors.
In a comment by a fan on TSDF’s post, it is revealed that in Robert Kirkman’s comic books, The Kingdom attacks an outpost. Shiva the tiger saves Ezekiel, but all of his soldiers die in the battle. It is not clear if this is what will happen in The Walking Dead Season 8, but it is a possibility. Another viewer said that it is expensive to have Shiva, which is actually CGI, on the show. This means she might be killed off sooner rather than later. As fans know, Shiva dies in the comic books.
The Walking Dead Season 8 premiere will reportedly show Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) going up to the Sanctuary. He makes the trip with some people from The Kingdom. Rumors state that they will attack the Saviors’ home base, and set photos seem to confirm that. However, in the comic books, Rick finds out that Gregory beats him to the Sanctuary. Many fans believe that this same storyline will play out when the show returns.
What do you think of the Walking Dead Season 8 set photos? Will the TV show follow the same storyline in the TWD comics?
