Kat Von D Removes Tattoo Of Jesse James

Kat Von D is removing her tattoo of Jesse James.

After breaking up in 2011, the famous tattoo artist vowed earlier this year that she would never have her Jesse James tattoo removed. But Kat Von D has apparently had a change of heart.

Von D writes on Twitter:

“Man, I sure was wrong. But at least he made it a no-brainer to break that off. #lessonlearned. / Now, we can get all of the ‘I told you so’s’ outta the way … And move on.”

The L.A. Ink tattoo artist posted a picture of the fading tattoo after her first removal session today.

Kat wrote: “AND SO IT BEGINS! First round of tattoo removal well underway! ”

According to OMG, it could still be a little while before the Jesse James tattoo is completely washed from Kat Von D’s skin. The gossip site reports that a complete tattoo removal takes between five to 15 sessions with as much as 8 weeks between each session. So it may be a year or two until Kat Von D can officially say that she is “Jesse James Free.”

When the Jesse James tattoo is gone Kat Von D will still have plenty of reminders on her body about former lovers. The 30-year-old reality TV star has her ex husband’s name tattooed on her neck and a few other tattoos in honor of her ex-boyfriend Alex Orbison.
