Read The Sweet Letter Joy-Anna Duggar’s Husband, Austin Forsyth, Wrote To His Wife Before Their Wedding

Joy-Anna Duggar’s wedding special will be released tomorrow on the season premiere of Counting On, but today, the sweet letter her husband, Austin Forsyth, wrote to her before they walked down the aisle was released. TLC posted the letter he penned to her on their website to give fans a teaser for tomorrow’s episode.

“My dearest love,

“The very thought of getting to be your husband is very humbling and a great honor. You are truly a gift from our Heavenly Father.

“The way we have been brought together is very evident that we serve a God who cares so much for us,” the would-be groom continued.

“I try to imagine God’s unmerited favor, the best example I know is how He has blessed me with you! You are such a woman of character.

“The heart you have for Him, His word, and His people has challenged me time and time again to love Him and you all the more.

“Getting to spend time with you is my favorite thing,” he added. “You are fun, enthusiastic, adventurous, and always willing to try new things.

“I love you with all my heart and can’t wait to grow deeper in love with you!”

The pair exchanged their vows on May 26 in front of their family and friends. Their courtship and engagement were only a few months each. However, the two have known one another for over 15 years and were childhood friends.

Joy-Anna Duggar admitted that she was a little bit nervous to get married, but she was more excited than not to wed her very best friend.

In the season finale of last season of Counting On, Austin proposed to Joy-Anna, which only made it fitting for the pair to get married on the season premiere.

The couple, however, had a registry dated for October, but their wedding date was bumped up, though no one knows exactly what the reasoning behind it was. Some think that the wedding date had always been for May, but that the October registry was simply a decoy to throw off fans who might turn up unannounced at the church.

At the wedding, Joy-Anna Duggar’s brother, Joseph, proposed to his now fiancee, Kendra Caldwell, which makes him the second male Duggar to get married. However, he will be the sixth sibling to walk down the aisle.

Although many fans thought it was tacky for Joseph Duggar to ask his bride-to-be to marry him during Joy-Anna and Austin’s big day, the couple confirmed that they had given Joseph full permission to do so.

Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth are now celebrating their nuptials on a honeymoon in Switzerland. They follow the standard Duggar tradition of going abroad for their post-wedding vacation, as older sister Jinger and her husband Jeremy Vuolo went to Australia while Jessa and her husband, Ben Seewald went to Paris to celebrate their marriage.

For the Duggars, this occasion is also incredibly special because they are required to have a chaperone to ensure they stay pure during their courtship and engagement. Because of this, they never have alone time as a couple before they exchange vows, and the honeymoon is really the first time they can be alone together.

Austin spoke to People about the destinations they are visiting during their honeymoon.

“We are currently in Geneva, Switzerland, and over the next few days we’re going to be traveling to Interlaken and Zurmatt. I think it’ll be incredible,” he told the media outlet.

Joy-Anna added their reasoning for choosing the scenic country.

“We chose Switzerland because we knew that it was very beautiful. We chose Switzerland because we knew that it was very beautiful. We can’t wait to see more of it!”
