Cristiano Ronaldo ‘Welcomes Baby Twins’ By Surrogacy

Real Madrid & Portugal soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly fathered twins, a boy named Mateo and a girl named Eva, via surrogacy. Portuguese TV channel SIC reported that the twins were born on Thursday. The report, however, said that it isn’t known where the newborn twins are at, nor are there any photos of them, at the moment.

“Mateo and Eva, those are the names of Cristiano Ronaldo’s twins. The boy and girl were born to a surrogate mum. It’s a secret that Cristiano Ronaldo hasn’t yet revealed to the rest of the world.”

Reports have been running since March that Ronaldo was set to father twins. A UK Newspaper had claimed that the Portuguese was set to father twin boys and their surrogate mother was in the West Coast of the United States at the time, heavily pregnant and expecting to give birth soon.

Portuguese websites and newspapers, including Correio da Manha, the country’s leading national daily, have been running the news of the birth since Friday, Daily Mail reports. But at this moment, there has been no confirmation or denial from Ronaldo, his family or his agents.

Ronaldo has posted this picture of him with his 6-year-old son Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. on Instagram following the breaking of this news:

6-year old Cristiano Ronaldo Jr, known affectionately as Cristianinho, was born in July 2010. He is also believed to have been born via surrogacy. The news stunned the world back in 2010 when Ronaldo made the announcement via Twitter and Facebook. It was later revealed in 2014, via the child’s grandmother and Ronaldo’s mother, Dolores Aveiro, that Cristianinho was born in a private hospital in Florida. However, the matter of surrogacy has never been admitted by Ronaldo or by his family.

In August 2011 Carer Maria Manuela Rodriguez, a former nanny working at Ronaldo’s sister Katia’s house, spoke to a Portuguese tabloid regarding the matter. She claimed that Cristianinho was in fact born via surrogacy, that Katia had told her so, and that the mother was Mexican.

“Once I saw a newspaper article saying the child’s mother wanted him back. That’s a lie, because the mum is Mexican and she didn’t even see if it was a boy or a girl, because she was a surrogate mum.”

She further made claims that Katia told her that Ronaldo Jr was born of two mothers, with one woman donating the egg and the other carrying the child in her womb.

“She even told me the child had two mums, that the eggs were from one and another carried and gave birth to the child. And that both were Mexican. The child was born in a private clinic and the mother didn’t even see him, because she was covered up. The baby was born and she doesn’t know anything about him.”

Cristiano Ronaldo had filed a lawsuit against the tabloid for “intruding on his personal life.” The court ruled for the soccer star, and the tabloid, the two journalists who wrote the story, and the former nanny were fined.

Of course, there have been numerous other claims regarding the birth of Ronaldo Jr. One story claims that the mother was a penniless American waitress that Ronaldo paid 10 million pounds to keep her identity a secret and hand over the baby after he was born. Another story claims that Ronaldo met the mother of his child in Los Angeles in 2010. However, Ronaldo has never filed a lawsuit against any of these other stories, hinting that the former is the truth.

Ronaldo’s older sister Elma claimed in 2014 that Ronaldo Jr. often questions about his mother.

“Cristiano sometimes asks about his mum. Once we told him that she was in Heaven, but my brother and my mum didn’t like that and asked us not to repeat it. We say now that his mum went travelling. He goes silent, forgets about it and doesn’t ask anymore.”

Ronaldo is currently dating Spanish beauty Georgina Rodriguez, who is also rumored to be pregnant.
