Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley are about to have their 10th anniversary this fall. It has just been announced that the country duo will share hosting duties once again at the 2017 CMA Awards on November 8. They have shared the spotlight together for 10 straight years now and they couldn’t be more thrilled to be asked to return to this annual event.
According to Billboard, Carrie and Brad will be on hand to bring their humor and charisma back to the stage at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. Paisley chatted about what an honor it is to be asked to return to host one of the biggest nights in country music. He said that his chemistry with Carrie has grown over the years.
“I think that over the years, Carrie and I have not only grown into our roles, but that we have also slipped into our individual characters. The time has helped us to complement each other and build a chemistry together.”
Those two definitely compliment each other. They somehow blend their personalities together to bring much needed entertainment to the CMA Awards. It helps that they both have a keen sense of humor, and they certainly bring it to the show every year.
Paisley also admitted that they both have a say in pretty much everything that is written into their dialogue. That also includes any political jokes that they may offer. They are not afraid to turn current situations into a laughing matter, but the “Last Time for Everything” singer stresses that political sides are never taken, as entertaining their audience is what they strive for. With that said, nothing is off limits when it comes to jokes that Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood may come up with in November.
Brad had recently been hanging out and encouraging graduates before they head out on their own. He paid a visit to the graduating class of Barrington High School in Barrington, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. They won a video contest that was put out by the country star. It was all a surprise and a day they won’t soon forget.
As for his CMA co-host, she just had a big night at the CMT Music Awards this past week. She walked away with the prize for Female Video of the Year for her tune, “Church Bells,” and also for Collaborative Video of the Year for her duet with Keith Urban. This also makes her the most-awarded artist in CMT’s history, according to a report by Forbes. Her successful career has given her a total of 17 CMT awards and she continues to forge her way ahead in country music.
When Carrie Underwood is not busy winning country music awards, she spends her time cheering for the Nashville Predators. She has been the hockey team’s biggest cheerleader as they continue on in the Stanley Cup finals. The “Heartbeat” singer seems to be their most devoted fan and even got to sing the National Anthem at one of the games. Having the Predators come so close to winning has brought out the hockey spirit in Nashville.

The Country Music Association has also just put out a humorous promotion after the official announcement was made that Brad and Carrie would be returning as hosts. They warn that anything can and will happen. As seen in previous years, they poke fun at everyone, but they always do it in good taste.
Both Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will be gearing up to get ready for the biggest night in country music in just a few short months. Ten years hosting an awards show is huge. They are sure to bring their A-game to the CMAs, as always. This year will be even sweeter for these country superstars.
