‘The Originals’ Season 4, Episode 12, Spoilers: What Happens In ‘Voodoo Child’?

The Originals Season 4, Episode 12, is titled “Voodoo Child.” What can fans expect from the Mikaelson family next week? The synopsis has been released, which reveals what is coming. Also, an extended promo gives clues on what will happen with the characters.

Spoilers are ahead. Do not continue reading unless you want to know what to expect on The CW series.

The synopsis for “Voodoo Child” was published by Spoiler TV. It states that in the next episode of The Originals, the villain is going to target Hope Mikaelson (Summer Fontana).

“When The Hollow targets the most vulnerable Mikaelson, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) is forced to rely on Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood), who believes he can use The Hollow’s own dark magic to defeat their enemy for good. Meanwhile, as Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) worries that Vincent’s plan might backfire, the King of New Orleans decides on a deadly backup plan of his own. Elsewhere, after falling victim to The Hollow’s manipulations, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) struggles to figure out Hope’s future in New Orleans, while Freya (Riley Voelkel) must confront her darkest fear.”

It is interesting that the synopsis for The Originals Season 4, Episode 12, reveals that Hayley will question Hope’s future in the city. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, executive producer Julie Plec accidentally released a huge spoiler. Expect Hope to travel to Mystic Falls to attend the Salvatore School For The Young And Gifted. As fans know, this was the ending of The Vampire Diaries, in which Caroline Forbes (Candice King) and Alaric Saltzman (Matt Davis) opened and started operating the school for special children.

Before Hope goes anywhere, the Mikaelson family is going to have to find a way to defeat The Hollow. She is getting her power from a magical totem. Freya Mikaelson had a plan to find it and destroy the object, which would stop the villain from getting power. However, it is going to turn up missing, creating yet another problem for Klaus, Hayley, and the rest of the characters. There is also an even bigger issue in “Voodoo Child.” The Hollow is inside of Hope and if the family doesn’t act fast, she will take up permanent residence inside the little girl, who is also an extremely powerful witch.

In the extended promo clip for The Originals Season 4, Episode 12, Hayley demands that The Hollow give back her daughter. However, the villain isn’t going to let go just because Hayley says so. The Mikaelson family is going to have to do something drastic. It will be interesting to see if Vincent can help.

During a conversation with Elijah Mikaelson (Daniel Gillies), he insists that he is on her side. However, Hayley must not like what he has to say. She comes to the conclusion that she should never have brought Hope back to New Orleans.

As for Freya Mikaelson on The Originals, what could be her darkest fear? It is probably losing her family. Everything she does is for the family and that is why she worked so hard trying to get Elijah back. Now that The Hollow has control of Hope, there is even more to fear. It is not just because she is family, but because of how powerful and gifted she is. It would make The Hollow even more dangerous than ever. The question is, how will they stop the villain before it is too late? How do they fight something that cannot be killed?
