Shakira’s new album El Dorado has outsold all Latin albums released in the past two years. El Dorado, the Colombian singer’s newest release since her 2014 self-titled album Shakira, was released on May 26 by Sony Music Latin.

Since its release, El Dorado has sold more than 29,000 copies. According to Billboard, the album has earned Shakira her seventh No. 1 song. El Dorado’s performance has also made Shakira a record holder. She now has the most No. 1 Latin Pop Albums among female musicians.

The lyrics of the songs on Shakira’s 11th studio album El Dorado are predominantly in Spanish. Her vocals are as captivating as ever. The album, which is filled with duets, includes collaborations with Prince Royce, Maluma, Nicky Jam, and Carols Vives.

Up to five songs from El Dorado are already climbing the charts. “Me Enamore,” “Chantaje,” and “Deja Vu” are some of the records that stand out on the album.

Shakira, who is signed to Jay’z Roc Nation, had a private preview performance of El Dorado before it’s release. Only 150 special guests were invited to the event which was held at the prestigious Temple House on Miami Beach.

Besides Shakira’s music, the guests of the private show, which included several big names from the entertainment industry, were also treated to Colombian delicacies.
