‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Rolf Returns After Mastering Death Reversal, Will He Bring Back Past Characters?

Over the past year, we have seen several staff changes. At the end of 2015, Eric Brady’s drinking problem claimed the life of long-time character Daniel Jonas. The ghost of Daniel has been appearing as of late to different characters on the show. Before that, EJ Dimera was shot and killed and who can forget the heartbreaking murder of Will Horton?

Vivian Jovanni left the role of Days of Our Lives Ciara Brady, which was a mutual decision. Ciara Brady left Salem to “spend time with her brother” on May 29.

Days of Our Lives spoilers tell us that James Lastovic, who plays Joey Johnson, will soon be leaving the show as well. Soaps.com reported the following.

“According to a tweet created by his mother Lucienne Lastovic, James Lastovic’s contract has not been renewed as Joey Johnson on Days of our Lives. Since the studio does not comment on such matters, there is no confirmation, but it appears as if the actor’s days are numbered.”

Along with the staff and writer changes for NBC’s daytime soap Days of Our Lives comes an unsure future. The co-head writer of the show, Dena Higley, has been replaced with Ron Carlivati who revitalized General Hospital and is speculated to “save the show Days of Our Lives” from extinction. As a confirmation to Days fans, Ron Carlivati tweeted the show’s familiar introduction.

Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate that with the coming of the new writing staff, Days fans are about to get shocking “blast from the past” this fall.

Dr. Wilhelm Rolf, Stefano DiMera’s henchman, is returning to Days with the announcement that he has mastered the art of death reversal. The storyline that surrounds his return is bound to be interesting, to say the least.

Blasting News reported the following Days of Our Lives spoiler.

“According to the report, Dr. Rolf has performed some seriously insane procedures in the past for the late Stefano Dimera, and this time he may outdo himself. Dr. Rolf’s return date just so happens to coincide with the return of Will Horton and Sami Brady to Days of our Lives.”

Entertainment Weekly recently reported that Chandler Massey will be returning to Days of Our Lives in September to reprise the role of Will. Filming is already underway. Massey indicated that he is excited about the new storyline.

Maybe one day they will realize I only have one suit.

It is entirely possible that Dr. Rolf will be the one to bring Will and Sami back to the show. Days fans speculate that he may very well be the one to revive the character of EJ DiMera as well.

When Days of Our Lives fan favorite EJ DiMera died, Stefano sent EJ’s sister Kristen to the morgue to inject his body with an unknown substance. He later moved EJ’s body. Speculation began circulating that these events may suggest that EJ will once again return to the show.

Blasting News had the following to say about the return of past Days characters.

“When Sami returns to the show this fall, she will be getting her son, Will Horton back. However, she may also be getting her husband returned to her from the dead as well.”

A recent audition tape surfaced and rumors began flying that the Days of Our Lives character of EJ DiMera may have been recast, although there is currently a fairly tight lid on this information. Even though the role most likely will not be played by the most recent actor James Scott, new spoilers have fans of Days excited to see what the future brings.

The new writer for Days appears to be making major changes, which include getting rid of some newer characters and bringing back some of the original cast members. The possibilities for story twists are endless with the re-introduction of Dr. Rolf to the cast.
