‘Teen Mom 2’ Kailyn Lowry Will Be Without Her Baby Daddy When She Delivers Her Third Child?
Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry’s due date is looming and when she gives birth to her third child, her baby’s daddy, Chris Lopez, will reportedly not be present.
According to a new report, the longtime reality star will instead be joined by her rumored lesbian lover, Becky Hayter.
On June 9, a report by Radar Online revealed that Hayter recently shared a blog post on Kailyn Lowry’s official website and confirmed she would be at Lowry’s side when she welcomes her third child in the coming weeks.
Kailyn Lowry and her former husband, Javi Marroquin, parted ways in May of last year as Marroquin was deployed in Qatar and shortly after he returned home to Delaware, he discovered the mother of his three-year-old son, Lincoln, with another man at their former marital home. Although it is unclear if the mystery man was Lowry’s baby daddy, Chris Lopez, they were believed to have struck up a relationship just a short time after Lowry and Marroquin’s split.
As for Becky Hayter, Kailyn Lowry was romantically linked to her longtime friend just weeks after she split from Marroquin, but both parties denied the alleged relationship on Twitter — even after they were seen sharing a kiss during New Jersey’s pride parade in June.
In her blog post on Kailyn Lowry’s website on June 7, Becky Hayter answered questions from fans and after one particular fan asked if Lowry’s birth would be featured during an episode of Teen Mom 2, Hayter said, “No it won’t be filmed, and I hope to make it there for the delivery.”
While Hayter plans to attend her friend’s delivery, she will only be in the room as a friend. Although she did joke that Lowry “wishes” they were together, she also confirmed that she is “happily taken” by a woman named Leah.
According to Radar Online, Becky Hayter’s plans to attend the delivery are a snub to Kailyn Lowry’s baby daddy. As the outlet reported, Lopez reportedly helped the reality star during the early months of her pregnancy but by February, the couple had gone their separate ways.
“[Kailyn Lowry] became a relationship of convenience for him,” a source told Radar Online. “He never actually loved her. It was a relationship, but he just decided he wanted something different and things didn’t work out so they went their separate ways.”
Despite the split, Kailyn Lowry reportedly did her best to include Chris Lopez in her pregnancy and the moments leading up to the birth of their son or daughter. As for his potential visit to the delivery room, he reportedly does not have any plans to attend as of yet, but Lowry hopes he will ultimately decide to be involved.
“[Kailyn Lowry] wants to give him the opportunity to see his child being born,” the insider continued. “She never said Chris couldn’t be involved with his child. She would hope he would want that, but she won’t force it or chase him to do so.”
Lowry announced her pregnancy to fans in February of this year and quickly confirmed on Twitter that she was no longer in a relationship with the man who fathered her child. Two months later, Lowry confirmed Lopez was her third baby’s father.
Lowry also shares a seven-year-old son with her former boyfriend Jo Rivera.
Kailyn Lowry and her co-stars, including Jenelle Evans, Chelsea Houska, Leah Messer, and Briana DeJesus, will return to MTV later this year for Teen Mom 2 Season 8. A premiere date has not yet been set.
