‘Star Wars: Episode 8’ Rumor: Rey More Powerful Than Luke, Force Ghost Appearances, Snoke Battle And More

Major plot spoilers for Star Wars: Episode 8 – The Last Jedi have found their way to the web, revealing the truth as to who Rey (Daisy Ridley) really is and the fate of the Resistance in the ongoing warfare.

The details come from 4chan, which has provided accurate Star Wars details in the past, including some of the scenes in the teaser trailer shown at the Star Wars Celebration.

However, the website has also been a source of information that ended up being false, so fans are warned to take the Star Wars: Episode 8 details that will be discussed below with a grain of salt.

If these juicy spoilers, which were relayed by Cosmic Book News, are anything to go by, The Last Jedi will be quite the game-changer and will define the course of the franchise forever.

The first shocking revelation out of the report is that Rey (Daisy Ridley) is a “reincarnation” of the first Force user, which makes her more powerful than what fans imagined.

This will also explain why she immediately got a good grasp of the Force in Star Wars: Episode 7 – The Force Awakens after just having learned she can tap into it.

This was one of the things that fans took issue in the film, comparing her to Luke (Mark Hamill), who did not master using the Force until he finished training long and hard under the tutelage of both Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

According to the same Star Wars: Episode 8 spoilers, Rey will not turn to the dark side, as previous reports have suggested. Interestingly, the marketing of the film will make it look like it is Luke who switches sides.

Whether this is really the case remains to be seen, but it was suggested in the leak that fans will find a “disenfranchised” Luke come Star Wars: Episode 8 and it will be up to Rey to convince him to “come back.”

She successfully does so, but Luke apparently makes it clear to her that after dealing with Supreme Leader Snoke (Andy Serkis) and his army, the Jedi order shall cease to exist.

It was suggested that Luke will battle Supreme Leader Snoke in The Last Jedi, but their showdown will not be finished in the film and will be one of the cliffhangers in Star Wars: Episode 8.

Additional information revealed about the First Order leader is that he has “switched bodies” in the past and that he is “well-liked” in the galaxy and also wealthy, as suggested by previous spoilers. As to why this is the case, fans should not count on getting answers in the film as director Rian Johnson already said he will not get into the character in Star Wars: Episode 8.

Another piece information unraveled in Star Wars: Episode 8 – The Last Jedi leak is that Force ghosts of Yoda and Anakin Skywalker will be featured in the movie. What’s shocking about this is that these forms of the fallen Jedi can still reportedly be killed.

The same leak reveals that Anakin’s Force ghost will take the form of a sea creature that Rey will have to defeat as part of her training to unlock her full potential as a Jedi.

Speaking of which, Luke will allegedly reveal in Star Wars: Episode 8 that Rey has what it takes to be more powerful than even one of his greatest Jedi masters, Yoda. In fact, the leak teases that she will prove early on in the training that she really is a Force to be reckoned with.

There is also a mention of Benicio Del Toro’s mystery character in Star Wars: Episode 8, who only goes by the name DJ. The leak, however, suggests that he will also be addressed as Zenn, a known double-crosser who is famous in both the Resistance and the First Order.

General Leia (Carrie Fisher) will reportedly reach out to him for help in The Last Jedi. Despite his unpredictability when it comes to alliances, she counts on the fact that he helped the Rebellion once and he could do so again for the last time.

Star Wars: Episode 8 – The Last Jedi hits cinemas December 15.
