‘Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Hilary’s Video Blows Up Cane, Shames Him On ‘GC Buzz’

The Young and the Restless spoilers promise Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) is about to be blown out of the water by Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan). What’s most interesting is that by blowing up Cane and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), Hilary is going to wreck her life too. Hilary is miserable over losing Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), but things will get so much worse for her soon. Does anyone feel sorry for Hilary?

The Lie That Destroys Cane’s Life

The Young and the Restless spoilers predict Cane is making things worse by perpetuating the lie about his night with Juliet Helton (Laur Allen) in Tokyo. He should have come clean with Lily long ago. Realistically, Lily can’t say a word about it. Cane was drunk and had a “whoops” while Lily flagrantly bedded Joe Clark (Scott Elrod). It seems like Cane could argue that Lily owes him one for her most recent adultery episode.

Still, on today’s Y&R, Cane tells Lily about the lawsuit but insists nothing happened in Tokyo. Lily decides this is Hilary’s scheme to mess with them and chooses to ignore it. Lily will regret that decision later. Cane doubles down on his lie on today’s The Young and the Restless when he swears to Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) that nothing happened and promises to repeat it under oath in court.

With the lawsuit filed and Ashby specifically named, Cane is fighting the truth and has decided to hunker down and make this a “he said, she said” situation, as revealed by the new The Young and the Restless spoilers. But does Juliet have any evidence that could string Cane up in court? Maybe. Remember that top she wore that night and Lily wore later? Maybe there’s some Cane DNA on it.

Why The Sex Doesn’t Matter

Many Y&R fans have argued on social media about whether or not Cane and Juliet ever had sex. The arguments against sex contend that Cane was too drunk to “perform” in bed. Booze is not the penis’ best friend. However, drunken sex is a fact of modern life, even if neither party remembers much about it. Also, there is no evidence that Juliet set Cane up to believe they had sex. That works in her favor.

Other The Young and the Restless spoilers for next week from Soap Central promise Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) believes Cane’s lies and mounts a tough defense with Michael to fight Juliet, based on Cane’s growing lies. Everyone is spending time and money to defend Cane’s lies, and he’s rolling the dice hoping that he can keep his lies alive long enough for Juliet to slink out of town in shame.

Hilary’s Got Evidence

The Young and the Restless spoilers promise Hilary and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) are prepping to air a GC Buzz exclusive on the lawsuit featuring Juliet as a guest. But even if Juliet backs out because she doesn’t want to endure victim shaming, Hilary won’t drop it. Hilary still has the video she made of Juliet confessing that she and Cane only slept together one time in Tokyo.

That clip is enough for Hilary to air her exposé on the Brash & Sassy lawsuit, even if no one else shows up for the tabloid show. All eyes in Genoa City will be tuned in for that GC Buzz special, and The Young and the Restless spoilers hint Lily might be standing by Cane’s side like a good wife when Hilary drops the bombshell. But is the video that persuasive? Yes, it is, and here’s why.

Juliet had no idea Hilary had a camera running. Juliet had every reason to lie and cover up the affair but no incentive to tell the truth. The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal Juliet’s ignorance about the camera rolling is what makes it a valuable piece of evidence. Juliet was there trying to shut Hilary down, so she didn’t wreck Cane and Lily’s marriage. But it all blows up soon.

Hilary vs. Cane Destroys Both

The Young and the Restless spoilers promise this will drag on a while. For any Y&R fans that hope Juliet is leaving soon, she’s not. Laur Allen was brought in for a short arc, but showrunners liked her so much, they extended her contract and moved her to recurring. As much as untimely pregnancies are overdone on soaps, there’s always the chance Juliet might be preggo, and that’s 100 percent proof of sex with Cane.

Other The Young and the Restless spoilers predict after Hilary’s GC Buzz segment blows up his life, Cane will lose his job, wife, and dignity. At that point, he’ll have nothing left but revenge against Hilary. But Hilary won’t come out with clean hands. Jordan Wilde (Darnell Kirkwood) will dump her and race over to comfort Lily since that’s the woman he wants anyway and doesn’t like Hilary’s dark side.
