Amber Portwood Twitter: She Announces Free Event For Fans After Possible Matt Baier Split, Deletes Instagram
Amber Portwood is doing what she can to make up for the recent book signing disaster she was tied to, courtesy of her on-again, off-again fiancé, Matt Baier.
As the speculation grows in regard to a possible split between the Teen Mom OG star and her controversial partner, Amber Portwood has taken to Twitter to apologize for a recent misunderstanding, which led several fans to drive a long way in hopes of seeing her at an event she did not attend.
“I would never ever just not show up to see my fans,” she explained on June 7. “I’m very hurt that I was told it was cancelled and that was a lie. I will make it up to everyone for free!!! Free books or a meet anything! I would never do that on purpose!! Please know that!”
Amber Portwood faced tons of backlash on Twitter and Instagram after Matt Baier told fans she would be attending a signing for his book. In turn, Portwood defended herself on Twitter and at one point, her Instagram account was deleted. Although the page is live as of June 8, the longtime reality star briefly deactivated the account on June 7 after being blasted by fans who accused her of being a no-show.
“I’m going to do something for free with my fans. Just let me brainstorm!! I’m very angry at the backlash and situation!! I love you all,” she added.
Amber Portwood also pointed out that she never promoted the event on any of her own pages. Instead, her on-again, off-again fiancé, Matt Baier, told his fans about the event on Instagram and promised they would both be in attendance.
Amber Portwood and Matt Baier have appeared to be on completely different pages with one another in recent weeks. While Portwood has shared cryptic messages with her fans about moving on and not letting someone hold her back any longer, Baier’s social media feed has seemingly made it clear that he and Portwood are very much together. He even told fans she was his “Woman Crush Wednesday” select one week ago.
At the time, Baier posted a throwback photo of the two of them kissing while on vacation. However, as several fans pointed out, Baier’s photo was not current and had been taken months prior while they were enjoying Puerto Rico with their co-stars, including Catelynn Lowell, Tyler Baltierra, Maci Bookout, and Taylor McKinney.
Although Amber Portwood and Matt Baier have sounded like they are on two different pages in regard to their future, Portwood has not yet confirmed their rumored split — even after his failed book signing.
Amber Portwood’s relationship with Matt Baier has been up and down for the past several years and in August of last year, just months before they were supposed to get married, Portwood confirmed to People magazine that their nuptials had been put on the back burner.
“You see us take a back burner this season, honestly,” Portwood said at the time. “There’s been so much talk about me and Matt the last season that we kind of stay a little private, but it’s hard to stay private when everything is out in the open.”
Amber Portwood went on to site the ongoing speculation into the number of children Baier has fathered, which Radar Online claimed was nine.
