‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ Spoilers: Heather Tom Talks Katie-Eric Romance, Says She Can Relate To Katie

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers indicate that this is a big week for Katie (Heather Tom), with tensions escalating until Friday, June 9, when a major bombshell drops and the character’s fate is sealed.

Katie snaps, hurts Quinn?

The Bold and the Beautiful kicked off the week with Katie coming unhinged after she was fired from her job as a jewelry designer at Forrester Creations. Unaware that it was Eric (John McCook) who made the decision based on her designs, Katie lashed out at and pulled a gun on Quinn (Rena Sofer).

By Tuesday on The Bold and the Beautiful, Quinn was telling Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) that she was afraid to go back to the office. Spoilers for the next few episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful say that Katie and Quinn’s rivalry will turn dangerous and that by Friday, the former will have to answer to the police.

Spoilers tease that Katie is about to snap and that she could bring Quinn down with her. However, will Quinn realize who she is and find the courage to stand up to Katie? Since Katie threatened her life this week on The Bold and the Beautiful, Quinn has been terrified and convinced that Katie is losing her mind. But after Ridge reminded her that she’s a survivor, Quinn could decide to fight fire with fire. Could she out-crazy Katie?

In an interview with TVInsider, Tom gave a preview of what’s ahead for her character, Katie’s plan to bring Quinn down, and even her possible romance with Eric. According to the Bold and the Beautiful actress, Katie has always tried to be good and play by the rules. However, she’s sick of losing and seeing the terrible people around her — especially Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Bill (Don Diamont) — win.

“Katie has a hard time letting go.”

“I think Heather Tom might be a little bit like that, as well,” the actress said with a laugh.

“So, weirdly, I can relate! When Katie loves people, she loves them deeply. She’s able to forgive, but she doesn’t forget.”

Katie and Eric fall in love?

According to Tom, Katie doesn’t know that she’s awful at her job and that it’s the reason why she was fired. Because she still doesn’t know that it was Eric’s decision to oust her, the Bold and the Beautiful star suggested that it’s still possible for the two to end up together. According to Tom, Katie “feels a real bond” with the Forrester patriarch. Quinn and Ridge’s betrayal reminds her of what she went through with Brooke and Bill — and she wants to spare Eric from that kind of pain.

However, Katie also feels complicit in keeping the secret from Eric.

“It makes her feel like she’s part of this whole creepy icky thing.”

But once Quinn and Ridge’s affair is exposed, Katie and Eric could become the next big Bold and the Beautiful love affair.

“Maybe that’s down the road,” the Bold and the Beautiful actress admitted. “We’ll see.”

“Eric has been a stabilizing force in Katie’s life for a very long time as a friend, and that’s been so comforting considering the turmoil she’s been through. He’s solid and she doesn’t have a lot of that in her life. And Eric has an energy that Katie really likes.”

As for whether or not she wants to see this play out on The Bold and the Beautiful, Tom said that she’s “game” for it and that she welcomes any opportunity to work with McCook.

“I’m game for whichever way they want to go with this. Katie and Eric aren’t related, so there’s certainly nothing stopping them!”

Meanwhile, The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers from Soap Shows suggest that it’s only a matter of time before Eric finds out about Quinn and Ridge. This storyline has, after all, been dragging on for some time now. When he does learn about their betrayal, Eric will have to decide if Quinn and/or Ridge still deserves his love and trust.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS.
