Joy-Anna Duggar And Austin Forsyth Dish On Pre-Wedding Nerves

A wedding may be the most important day in a Duggar girl’s life, but that doesn’t mean that she and Austin Forsyth didn’t have jitters before they walked down the aisle. The pair, who plan to have as many babies as the Lord will give them (because of course), recently said that they were a bundle of nerves before they took the plunge.

Joy-Anna Duggar shared how she felt the night before she got married in a recently released video.

“I’m sure I’m going to start getting nervous, I think he is more nervous than I am right now, though. I’m going to be pretty emotional on our wedding day because it’s a lot — I mean, you are committing yourself to someone for the rest of your life,” she said.

Austin Forsyth later reflected on the wedding, “It seemed like it took forever to get here, but now that we did our rehearsal dinner it seems like it flew by!”

Joy-Anna also stated that she was really excited to be married to her best friend, and that was perhaps more exciting than anything else. That, evidently, overshadowed every other fear she might have had about their wedding day.

The pair got engaged after a very short courtship, and during the time, they battled media rumors that they were having sex before they were married. There was even one rumor that stated that she and Austin had even gotten pregnant out of wedlock, which is a huge no-no in Duggar world. Of course, these rumors seem to be unfounded, as Joy-Anna Duggar has lost weight instead of gained any, the way a new mother would.

But that hasn’t stopped the pair from focusing on babies in their new life together. In a recent Mother’s Day video, Joy-Anna thanked her mother for everything she had done for her, while also revealing that she couldn’t wait to be a mother herself. And in typical Duggar fashion, Joy-Anna will likely be pregnant fairly soon. Jinger Duggar, her older sister, is the only one to break tradition by not being pregnant immediately after her honeymoon.

Although the pair admitted they were a little bit nervous before they got married, they are now on their honeymoon and enjoying alone time at long last. For those courting a Duggar, it is forbidden to spend time alone with your love before marriage, and they must have a chaperone at all times to keep them accountable. While they have stressed that each child can decide his or her own courtship rules, everyone seems to follow the same ones, and that includes not kissing until they are married. All of the Duggar kids thus far have waited until the altar to share their first kiss with their new spouse.

For now, Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth are enjoying their honeymoon, and it is likely the pair brought the TLC cameras along wth them. It is unclear, however, where the two went on their first non-chaperoned vacation, as they have posted a pretty non-specific photo of themselves. Her older sister, Jessa Duggar and her husband, Ben Seewald, had a romantic time in Paris after they got married, and Jinger Duggar her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, spent time together touring Australia. Hopefully the pair will have a getaway together that is just as nice as her older sisters’ did.

The only thing currently marring Joy-Anna Duggar’s happiness is the lawsuit she is a plaintiff in. She and her sisters are suing In Touch Weekly for revealing that she was a victim of child molestation as a very young girl. As she was a minor at the time, she and the rest of her sisters believe this was unacceptable.
