Jennifer Lopez Split? A-Rod Facing Nasty Battle With Former Lover

Is this the end for Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez? The two are facing a bit of a bump in the road with A-Rod’s former lover threatening to expose him. According to TMZ, this woman is seeking upwards of $600,000 from the former Yankees star. If doesn’t pay up, she’s supposedly ready to talk.

The report indicates that A-Rod split with this unidentified woman back in 2014 after a relationship that was described as a “fling.” After their split, the woman would reportedly contact Rodriguez every now and then, asking him for money. However, he didn’t give her any. And now, she is threatening to show the world their intimate private messages, saying that she’ll sell the dirt that she has on him if he doesn’t pay up.

It all started when Rodriguez went public with his relationship with Lopez. Perhaps it was jealousy — or something else — but A-Rod’s ex-lover went off the deep end and is ready to get what she wants: money.

She allegedly tried to get money out of him, but he refused again and told her that he wanted to be left alone. That was enough to send her into a tizzy, and she isn’t holding back. She’s ready to expose A-Rod if she doesn’t get the money she’s seeking. It is a classic case of extortion at the worst possible time. Things between Rodriguez and Lopez seem to be going swimmingly.

“She demanded $600,000 or she would contact multiple media outlets to offer text messages Alex had sent her. One source with direct knowledge believes the woman’s motives are clear: once A-Rod hooked up with J Lo… the ex saw dollar signs, and felt he would pay any amount to keep her quiet,” TMZ reports.

Sources tell the site that this woman was planning to release “old text messages” and play them off as being recent as a way to ruin A-Rod’s relationship with J.Lo. Will it work? It could. It depends if this story is legit and, if it is, what this woman actually has on A-Rod. She either just wants money or she really has something that could take Rodriguez down.

A-Rod is said to be holding his ground. He will not pay off this woman and is prepared to lawyer up, according to the report. As for Lopez, she is reportedly standing by her man, not letting this woman get in the way of her new romance.

“She’s fully aware of what Alex is dealing with, and not only stands by him, but empathizes… having gone through similar situations in her past,” reports TMZ.

Page Six has identified the woman as Lauren Hunter, a fitness model. Although a rep for A-Rod declined to comment on the story, another source close to A-Rod told Page Six that the claims made by Hunter simply aren’t true.

“He and Jennifer are together all the time. Every week the magazines write something ridiculous about their relationship, last week they were getting married, she’s pregnant. It’s laughable,” said the source.

A-Rod has not released a statement about these accusations. He and Jennifer Lopez have been going about their lives as normal. In fact, the two just spent some time with their kids over the weekend, all wearing smiles while swimming in a pool.
