Ryan Gosling & Eva Mendes Breakup Rumors: ‘They’re Past The Point Of Caring Now’

Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are rarely seen together even during special occasions, which sparked breakup rumors. The Notebook star was spotted carrying their eldest daughter Esmeralda for lunch with his family. He allegedly chose to celebrate Mother’s Day with his mom, Donna, rather than with his girlfriend, who was probably left at home taking care of their baby Amada. Could this mean that they’ve called it quits?

According to Radar Online, the romance of Ryan and Eva has faded, which could lead to an ugly custody battle. The relationship reportedly ended for good when the 36-year-old actor chose to spend Mother’s Day with his mom instead of celebrating it with the mother of his two kids.

“They’re past the point of caring now,” the couple’s long-time pal claimed. “The biggest sign it’s over is the fact that Eva and Ryan don’t even bother to argue anymore. The only thing they do agree on is the fact that none of their needs are being met!”

Gosling and Mendes fell in love on the set of The Place Beyond the Pines and started dating in 2011. The couple managed to keep a low-profile relationship and was able to hide the 43-year-old actress’ pregnancy not only once, but twice. Even their daughters are rarely seen in public.

According to an insider, the relationship of Ryan and Eva has been toxic behind closed doors for quite some time now. The Hitch actress has reportedly given up on getting married to the screen heartthrob. Mendes is also allegedly not happy taking care of their 2-year-old and 1-year-old children. Gosling, on the other hand, was said to be devastated when his girlfriend refused to accompany him to the Oscars and Golden Globes where he was nominated and won for La La Land.

“Everyone’s kind of gotten used to Eva shunning the limelight, but no one ever thought for a moment she’d skip the Oscars — especially when Ryan was nominated for a once-in-a-lifetime accolade,” a pal revealed. “It didn’t make sense. When they first got together, they were inseparable and were often seen out on dates holding hands. Now that just doesn’t happen.”

The Inquisitr previously reported that the reason why Eva Mendes refused to attend the award ceremonies with Ryan Gosling was because of jealousy. She allegedly feels intimated by Emma Stone because of her closeness with her boyfriend. Apart from La La Land, the two showed their chemistry on-screen in Crazy, Stupid, Love and Gangster Squad.

While the Canadian actor continues his acting career, the Latina beauty decided to focus more on their kids. Mendes allegedly started getting paranoid ever since she stayed away from the public. She can reportedly go on weeks without talking to any other adult except Gosling. The Latina beauty also refuses to go out and avoids his family. To make things worse, she allegedly believes that her boyfriend is having an affair.

“Ryan’s not a cheating kind of guy and can’t stand it when women hit on him,” a source revealed. “Even worse, he can’t stand being accused of something he hasn’t done!”

During an interview with Shape magazine, Eva Mendes debunked the breakup rumors by revealing her life at home with Ryan Gosling. She also explained why she didn’t accompany the father of their two daughters at the Oscars and Golden Globes.

“What people don’t know about me is that I love being home,” the Miami-born actress confessed. “Instead of hitting the red carpet, I’d rather be with our girls.”

Gosling also slammed the breakup rumors by expressing how he felt about Mendes and their children in an interview with GQ magazine earlier this year.

“Eva’s the dream mother, and they’re dream babies, and it’s like a dream that I’m having right now. I’m dreaming it all,” Ryan said. “When you meet your kids you realize that they deserve great parents. And then you have your marching orders and you have to try and become the person that they deserve.”
